If Penix, Ward, or Nix happen to fall to the 3rd round in the draft, the Panthers should think long and hard about taking them. I believe Young will be fine but poo happens and it never hurts to have a quality backup.

Crossed my mind as well.  Penix has great accuracy, he would be a nice backup

Penix's injury history concerns me. If I were a GM, that is the only thing that would keep me from drafting in the first round.

I’ve seen enough of Bo Nix the last 12 years to know I wouldn’t use a draft pick on him
