Once again Andersen seems to be dealing with a medical issue. Can someone confirm this story?

This sounds to be more than hockey medical issue. I’m wondering if he does have cancer cells if they are going to do an abridged chemo to make sure everything is dead. If so we may probably not see him again this season.

Further clarification. Might not be cancer but sounds more like a disease than anything hockey related. Something treatable though that will keep him away from hockey doesn’t air on the he’ll be playing again for a while though.

Well… first and foremost.

Prayers and well wishes and good thoughts and vibes to Zilla. Hopefully whatever the issue is was found early and he’ll make a full recovery.

Secondly, Halak is the best free agent goal tender available so he’s not a bad option but this team has cup aspirations this year.

If Freddie is truly going to be out long term then put him on LTIR and open up the picks and prospects bag and let’s ship some off for a tendy.

I’d look at acquiring Carter Hart.

He’s in the last year of his contract on a team in Philadelphia that’s going no where this year.

We did them a solid by taking TDA off their hands and sending them a prospect when we didn’t have to.

It’s time they return the favor and give us Hart for a second round pick and b level prospect.

Actually we didn't we waited for them to buy him out and signed him.

So that’s the technicality of it but we actually sent them a decent prospect Massimo Rizzo for David Kase (a player that will never play here).

Rizzo was supposed to be in the deal for TDA but when the NHL held up the deal Philly had no choice but to buy him out. In good faith Waddell still sent Philly the prospect they wanted (Massimo Rizzo) in exchange for basically nothing (David Kase).

Kase will never play here and is more known for being Hurricanes legend (joking), Ondrej Kase’s brother.

Not sure Philly would go for that but Hart would be a strong play. Certainly have to hold onto Nikishin who is going to be the first ask from any team for a goalie.

    • I'm not a Bryce hater and I would 100% move on.  Especially looking at how the upcoming qb draft looks on paper.  Hopefully he continues to improve but if in 3 seasons you're still chasing average season numbers then he's not going to be the guy.  You've just got to keep taking swings until you hit.  Average qbs without any elite physical traits cant get it done anymore.  So this year Hopefully he continues to develop and is above average statistically.
    • Meltdowns???? He was pulled by Canales because he wasn't executing the game plan after 2 games into the season so he could watch Dalton execute the offense and show Bryce the windows available in the NFL, how to push the ball down the field and how to step up and move around when blitzed. When Young came back 5 games later he clearly watched and improved. Enough he was named the future starter. He doesn't have a history of  meltdowns nor is there any reason to assume he will have one. From what I have read he is mentally strong and emotional stable. He may have bad games down the road, everyone does. But this is all a learning experience for him and so far he seems to be making progress. I can understand being hesitant on anything Panthers, but Young has surprisingly been able to gain his confidence after a disastrous start. You aren't alone in being cautious but I think he is the future. I thought he was too small and too short to succeed in the NFL. Honestly I was pleasantly surprised last year and am optimistic about the offense for the first time since Wilks and Dalton were decent.
    • The Rams wanted to trade up for Williams who they ended up within the end. They even told him that when they called him to let him know he is the pick. The other teams are only an assumption. Like the Cowboys, who took a guard. The truth is the team wanted to trade down first and foremost but couldn't get an offer the were happy with. They took McMillan because they felt he was bpa at 8 plain and simple.
