Next year's surprise team

nah, st louis literally needs like 19 new players

my money is on tampa bay. there's a poo ton of talent on that team, and if Freeman progresses, and they have a good draft (they've got like 45 picks) they're going to get really good really quick.

They might not be loaded but teams with the right mentality can over-achieve. Plus their division isn't the best.

the chargers and broncos are both better coaching and talent wise, and the raiders are just competent QB play away from being very competitive. there's too much talent there for them not to be.

the chiefs need like seven new starters on the offensive line, a new linebacking corps, and probably two defensive linemen.

I actually think offensive line is one of the stronger parts of KC. When Larry Johnson left and Jamaal Charles took over he was running like a monster. He had 1100+ yards and 5.9 yards per carry.

I agree that their defense needs an entire overhaul, but if they play the draft/free agency right they might turn it around. I can predict an 8-8 or 9-7 team from them, possibly even a wild card. Gotta remember, they have two 2nd round picks(one from ATL for Tony Gonzalez and our 5th round pick for Tank Tyler).

My votes go to the Seahawks, Redskins, and Chiefs

1) Redskins: already have a ballin defense, and a decent set of weapons on offense. Should easily be able to put together a good team through the draft. Not to mention they nabbed Shanahan who will do wonders for them.

2) Seahawks: already had a strong team that was plagued by injuries. They'll probably draft a project QB to develop since it's obvious Matt Hassleback is aging.

3) Chiefs: see above^

I can see Arizona doing really bad, and I think Detroit with a couple upgrades to their O & D line along with a descent corner could significantly improve. St. Louis really could use a new QB along with Seattle. The Redskins need alot of new components on their line along with a QB. The Chiefs could also be a team that shocks some people if they fill a couple holes on their O-line. Theres alot of teams that are close, raiders, browns, 49ers.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
