Any idea of what Young is doing in the offseason to improve?

Bruh, did you miss the part where I said Stroud was making 60+ yard throws accurately when Bryce was maxing out at 55 yards with putrid accuracy? My observation is that not only Stroud can throw further than Bryce, but also he can make those throws accurately and make them look easy.

Nope, didn't miss it at all, hence why I led with, "Not disagreeing". The yardage you mentioned by Stroud reminded me of Russell, which reminded me of the fascination of him throwing from his knees. It was just noting Russell had a next level cannon (and went #1 because of it and ONLY it, btw), but I don't recall his accuracy and for that matter I don't recall there being such a focus on accuracy back then anyway. Maybe I should have led with, "it sort of reminds me when"? Not sure that would have made it any clearer either, but mentioning Russell shouldn't be seen as a flex against Stroud or for Young.

Adding 10 pounds of muscle to his frame with the access he has to training and nutrition isn't asking for a lot.

it's not hard at this level.   I mean, look at the huge gains CMC made after his rookie year.  He was a different runner year 2.  He went down easy as a rookie.

Either way this team needs to build an offense whether Young is the future or not. The next 2 offseasons should be dedicated to doing just that.

    • Look, I've been pounding on the Canales shouldn't be calling the offensive plays thing since last year. He's first off, not very versatile and makes Ron Rivera look like a master of mid-game adjustments. Also, because I think you really, really need to be calling the offensive plays from the booth with a better view of the whole field.  A coach on the field cannot grasp how the opposing sideline WR is doing in coverage while also checking the two receivers on his side, plus keep up with how the line is doing and if the RB is in the groove. Heck, for the line alone he doesn't have the best view of where the RB is going to see success and how to best exploit it. Hence Rico saying, Yo coach, keep running this.  Still, all these things in there, no matter how hard I'm banging on that drum, I can't let it drown out my joy in getting one of those rare Ws. Even coaches can learn and grow from them. I sure hope he will.
    • I fully understand the questioning of Dave and BY, just the timing of your concerns is my problem. NFL is ultra hard to pull off the perfect game. In all my years Ive never seen a HC have the perfect game plan and have great play call after great play call.  Tmac has helped in every game, honestly more than I thought he was going to show. It does look like he was in fact the reason to trade AT and allow Tamc to feast on his targets. I have re-watched the wins, I have seen Tmac get red zone looks. Brother, he's about the 80-90% of passing attack. Dave is young inexperienced HC and he's learning on the job, hope he improves along with BYs confidence.    Its going to be alllllll right, trust me as your co-pilot.
    • You cannot hate his character, but he is holding the team back. There is so much we can't do because of his limitations. It just is what it is
