Some of these may sound really odd but here it goes...

-Market the Bobcats at local gyms/YMCAs

-Much more player-school appearances

-Build a unique pre-game tradition thats INTERACTIVE with the fans (Panthers don't even do that)

-Create a Bobcat basketball summer camp?

-Make the arena more kid friendly (Those lil' ones care about having fun as much as us winning)

-Cheaper, yet quality BBQ

-At least 2 Billboards on 277, and two on 77 north and south

-Gigantic blue lights that dance in the night sky above the arena during games

-Build a huge interactive Bobcat fan zone near the BOFA

-Replace orange with a new color to represent a NEW Charlotte sports era

-Win

I think the buzz-o-meter (prob wrong name) that the hornets had at the old coliseum was one of the best ideas ever. It was the noise meter that had several hornets graduating from small to large.

I remember screaming louder and longer than I could just to see if we could get that thing to the highest level.

it would help if they'd air the games state wide. no bars i've been to here in wilmington have the nba package, and the links to watch streams provided to me by huddlers often stutter in and out. it's hard as hell to see a game down here.

This. Half the time we can't even get the games in Charlotte.

I thought TW carried most of the games? They need to be on a local channel in each area of the state.

They do carry it in Charlotte. But a lot of times they don't show the games. Friday night the Memphis game wasn't on. At one point it was like 3 games in a row weren't shown. It makes no sense when you're in the playoff hunt and you're trying to get a fan base.

    • Kalkbrenner and Sion James received regular contracts and not two ways, so the Hornets have some work to do to cut the roster size down.
    • Gustavsson would be insane. I think we would have to break the bank to afford that move. Which, I don't think is necessarily a bad idea. Ultimately, Freddie isn't likely to be around more than a couple of seasons more. We can all agree that unless they have a fleet of sports psychologists working on Kochetkov, he will never be capable of getting his head on straight enough to compete.
    • I originally hated the Miller deal but with the cap projected to rise nearly $10M next season the Canes struck some pretty good deals between Miller and Ehlers. Most of the team is locked in for the next few years. Nikishin will need an extension probably in the $6M AAV range. And Blake will need one if we don’t move him. Personally I’d move Blake, picks, and any prospect not named Nikishin/Nadeau/Artamonov for McTavish as I don’t see any any of the big time players moving teams next year. Realistically the Hurricanes should just target Gustavsson next year to fix the goal tending issue. But I’m all for moving Blake, picks, and prospects for McTavish this year. Ehlers - Aho - Jarvis Svechnikov - McTavish - Stankoven Martinook - Staal - Carrier Hall - Kotkaniemi - Robinson Jost - Jankowski Slavin - Miller Nikishin - Chatfield Gostisbehere - Walker Reilly Andersen Kochetkov I’d do Blake, Felix-Unger-Sorum, and 27 2nd for McTavish.
