Panthers Cut Delhomme

Now bare with me for a sec. What if the Panthers got rid of Delhomme for Julius Peppers to come back? Just a thought.

Or even better, maybe they will make a huge splash somehow in free agency or move up in the draft for a QB! Either way they still owe Jake all that money and Im sure they didnt just let him go for 12 mill.

Something is going on! Maybe they get YOU KNOW WHO to come and be a QB here. LOL.

End of Line.

they're just ready to move ahead. makes me happy.

so long jake. thanks for being so cool and for those first few years. it was fun.

now i am done with jake. don't care anymore. what matters now is just moving forward.

those of you that want to keep on honoring the past....have fun dwelling in it.

for the rest of us that are more than happy that this team is finally cutting loose those things and players that were keeping them from reaching their potential (and yes, pep is included in that) are now in the past. it's time for a new panthers. our next coach is going to have a nice young group of talented players to build around.

having the old guard gone is something to celebrate. spring is quickly approaching. i can't wait.

Aaaaaaaaaahhhhh...no.

There's no savings from cutting him (and no cap anyway) so it doesn't help keep Peppers. That, plus he'll likely be signed by the Bears by this afternoon.

As to "you know who", Jay Glazer is one of many sources to say "not happnin"

For the record I really do NOT see the panthers pursuing vick at all. Delhomme's release not related to anything w vic

Adam Schefter said the same thing, as have the local beat writers (repeatedly).

Since they've cut Jake, you know what this means....

The Patriots have traded the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL draft to the Carolina Panthers for the 47th pick in the 2010 draft and Carolina's first round pick in 2011.

With the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL draft, the Carolina Panthers select...

And the city of Charlotte spontaneously bursts into flames...

    • See that's the thing what I saw in game 2 was so embarrassing id rather they could just forfeit
    • Are you arguing that his height deficiencies and footwork within the pocket have not been a present issue clearly seen on his game tape particularly in the games he struggled in? Because that's simply denying what everyone in this fanbase who have watched the games have seen. It's interesting how hardline BY fans here quickly and effortlessly pivot from whailing about being victimized to becoming the aggressor and hurling out allegations of bias and hatred. And at the end of the day while Bryce Young clearly improved significantly from the first two games of the season the reality of the situation is he still finished 42nd in yards per pass attempt behind Mac Jones and tied with Caleb Williams and 38th in passing yards per game behind the likes of Gardner Minshew Aidan O'Connell Drake Maye and Will Levis. Furthermore it took Bryce Young 23 games to surpass Panthers legend Kyle Allen's 13 games worth of passing yardage in 2019. So if your argument is he became a head and shoulders better passer over the course of the second half of the season the reality is we're still waiting to see that growth this season. And there is nothing controversial or vitriolic about saying so from the mind of a rational observer.
    • Cam regularly threw for less than 200 yards and nobody questioned he was elite. He averaged 219 yds per game for his career.  You seem to be way too hung up on yards as a stat.  By that definition Jameis Winston should have been MVP by now.
