How incompetent are the Panthers as a franchise/team/organization?

Wow, you mean people knew KJ was in town a few hours before he signed? That's a real heads up, I'll give you that.

BTW, hows that "Delhomme will be the starter in 2010, and anybody who disagrees with me is an idiot' thing working out for you?

You're the one that said it came out of nowhere. By your logic the bears signing Peppers must have blind sided their fans even though they knew the night before he was visiting. Key was in town the night before he signed. Everyone knew it because it was on the NEWS that night

And I never said Jake will be the starter in 2010. I said the FO is going to give him the edge in the competition. Thank goodness JR stepped in and demanded that they cut him. You can bet the FO was going to give Jake the starting nod. Way to change the topic though smart guy. :D

lol just stop wasting your time and spamming this thread. I think you've proven your doucheness, and lack of sarcasm detection.

Hey, it's an open forum IN CASE YOU DIDN'T KNOW ALREADY.

Dude, he's tearing you up. Just leave him alone.

Also, you were not being sarcastic when you said incompetent. Maybe you were exaggerating, but you weren't being sarcastic. I'm guessing you know there is a difference between the terms, so I won't explain it.

You're a lying sack of poo.

And BTW, everybody knew Chicago was interested in Peppers days before he signed. You're comparing apples and oranges.

That's not it, it's just that:

We didn't franchise Peppers, so theoretically there's a lot of that money still on the table.

This year is uncapped.

All that money was supposed to be for re-signing upcoming fa's and rfa's, but there have been several let go.

Each and every year the Panthers make little to no splash in FA and each and every year there are large gaps and weaknesses in our roster.

So there just comes a point where you have to stop and say, wtf is the game plan here?

They are trying to save money, dude. Haven't you been reading this forum or did you come out of no where and make a thread about something that has been rehashed hundreds of times over the past few weeks?

hahahaha sure, I mean put a question mark at the end of everything and you're not saying or implying anything... just speculating.

heyyyyyyy.... how much does hdevonxz like to have threesomes with goats?

NOT IMPLYING ANYTHING JUST ASKING

More pwnage ^

Keyshawn signed here days after he was released by the cowboys. The day after there was already speculation he would sign here after he said he wanted to come here. So no the comparison is quite similar. Sorry :(

And You're clearly old piece of poo since your memory is so terrible.

Lets see

holes to fill

2 WR at least (1 needs to be a legit threat to help smith out)

Agree we need a threat, and another would be nice. IMO, this is our greatest need area. Although, I do think Jarrett will be better and more involved than many think.

2 Cb's maybe 3 (the third is if Marshall is nabbed)

How so? Unless you are simply not comfortable with the guys we have, we really don't need another...unless it's for ST to fill Wesley's role. We still have Gamble, Marshall, Munnerlyn, and Martin. I know most here think of Martin as a FS now, but he was drafted to play CB, and was only moved to Safety out of necessity due to injuries and Wesley's (who they tried there first) inability to make the transition. But he was clearly ahead of Munnerlyn on the depth chart at the time of the switch (coming in at least a full quarter before Captain got in the game...not counting ST). So considering that they viewed Martin as a CB when they drafted him, along with how much better Godfrey played when he came back from his injury, I fully expect they will keep Godfrey at FS and put Martin back at CB.

1-2 DE (adding to the rotation)

True. We should be able to pick up a decent short term vet, but we'll still need another from either the draft or FA.

1 DT (add to the rotation)

I'm not so sure. I think Tyler and Leonard played pretty well in the short time they were here before getting injured. And since we gave up picks for both, I think they will definitely be in the rotation. We also have Corvey Irvin, who many complained about, primarily because they were unfamiliar with him. But, while raw, he is talented and just needed to get stronget and tighten up his technique, which should have been improved upon during his redshirt year. Regardless, as a 3rd round pick, I think they will keep him around as he develops. The wildcard, though, is Ed Johnson. He has the ability to be a very good pickup for us, while also potentially being a waste. The thing is, I'm not sure the staff will invest heavily on anyone else until they get a better idea of what they have. Personally, I would like a DT/DE hybrid to fill the 9th DL role we usually keep.

1 OL (depth)

I don't think we need much here, unless maybe as a replacement for Williams. But we have 7 OL slots locked up with the starters (minus Vincent), Bernadeau, Robinson, and Schwartz. Although I wouldn't be opposed to a late round utility guy, but I wouldn't want to spend much on depth here since whoever we get will likely not be active on gameday anyway.

1-2 LB's (mainly for ST's, maybe one to push for the starting SLB)

Agree. However, I do think we will keep Senn around since he was so good on ST for us once we picked him up. But I do think we also need a guy that can backup in base defense.

1 KOS ( I don't want either Kasey or baker doing Kos.)

I would also like someone here. But unlike Lloyd, I want this guy to have FG kicking capabilities and be brought in to develop into Kasay's eventual replacement.

KR/PR (please....................... He can be one of the WR's or CB's)

I'm hoping we can use a drafted WR in this role. That's why someone like Mardy Gilyard intrigues me quite a bit.

1 QB (back up, preferably a vet)

No doubt. To bad Pennington was dead set on Miami, because he would have been perfect. My guess is that we end up re-sesigning McCown.

So, as I see it, we probably need between 6-8 players to fill our holes. Beyond that, we only need to bring in guys if they are clear upgrades to what we already have, but are not necessary to having a good year.

You obviously never watched him warm up pre-game.

Seriously guys, I wasn't trying to imply they were incompetent or anything. I'm just speculating on different actions they've taken... yeh... yeh... that's it... that's the ticket....

hahahahahaha

No mr. asshair, it was a question for speculation on the moves the front office has been making, as I've already said. But it's all good man, you can spend as much time being an irrelevant dick as you'd like. Must be fun to have that much time to waste.
