Predict the big trade to come?

I'm going to go out on a limb and say the Panthers are saying they are rebuilding and/or saving money before the coming Lockout. To me this means they are likely to make a big trade to get a 1st round pick, essentially playing for the 2011 or 2012 season and writing off 2010 as a 'rebuilding' year as well as 'wait and see' on what comes from lockout.

So, who will they trade for mostly draft picks?

1) D-Will because rookie contract is about up?

2) Stewart and re-sign D-Will

3) Steve Smith while still worth alot

4) Jordan Gross, promoting Otah to Weak side?

5) Gamble, been here too long

6) Beason God-forbid..

My money is on 1 or 3 or both. Just speculation, but seems obvious they are rebuilding for 2 to 3 seasons from now. Smith will be past prime then, D-Will will be a 30yr old running back with a huge contract in 3yrs....

      Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.

      I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
