Blind faith in the panthers

The Panthers are not perfect, they do make mistakes from time to time. But if you were new to the game of football and came on here reading post you would think we had multiple super bowl rings and were one of the elite team's of the nfl and had set down a blueprint for the the rest of the league to follow...Why do I say this, well here are a few examples.

1.John Fox is one of the best coaches in the league.

2.J.R. one of the best owners in the league.

3.F.o. makes smart, sound decisions filling in those holes with cheap left overs from other team's.

4.Now on the field we have one of the best O lines, one of the best W.R.'s ,best running back duo,one of the best defenses in the league and until Jake was let go one of the best leaders and teammate in..the..league.

5. Class, you guessed it... more class than any team in the league.

6. We point fingers and laugh at other teams with multi super bowl wins, conference championships and much longer history and tradition than us. They have no clue, we have laid the blueprint they should follow it.

7. The draft...first rounder's, those are for suckers...over priced and over hyped. We make star's out of late round picks...diamond's in the ruff.

8. F.A. big names don't need ya... we sit back........ wait........ let the dust settle then raid all grocery store's nationwide. Now Thats how you do it. Take notes Daniel Snyder

And the list goes on of thing's this team has never done wrong, we are the pinnacle of per... no...purfection, casting a shadow of Carolina blue pride down upon the rest of the nfl. So what if some of you got your fancy little Lombardi Trophy, it's overrated and not cost efficient...you have to build the trophy case then theres polish, the cost of accent lighting...just not worth it in the long run. Trust us, it sounds as tho were cheap but thats not the case...its just good economics.

Now I love the panthers as much as the next guy, been cheering them on from day one...but not to the point of blinding myself to their faults and thinking that they can do no wrong. Or trying to twist every move they make into a smart move that betters the team.

I know the whole cba thing is iffy at this time, but put this teams shoe on the foot of another....people on here would give them no hope this year...as of this moment.

A new qb shows promise but don't know yet...purged d line...no receivers but smith...full back don't know...bad st...no draft picks...not real good at and don't like to play the FA game... and a lame duck head coach.

so stop trying to turn a pile of poo in to gold, yes we got some good poo but don't act like it never stinks. Thank you... GO PANTHER 2012

No, the only thing you need to mention in terms of blind faith is anyone who says, "we'll be fine". They said it last year, and we weren't. They're saying it again this year and the jury is out. No team is "fine" until they have an MVP qb and make the Playoffs in back ot back years. We've NEVER been fine.

One day, we will be and I look forward to it.

It's really irritating when people suggest that Fox is not a good coach. If JR let him go tomorrow he would have a job the next day. He is valued around the league who know way more than any of us...he is a good coach with a good philosophy for winning. It may not be exciting and he may have some faults but name a coach who doesn't.

    • Don’t recall seeing many of his interviews but what strikes me is that he engages and goes in depth. Even with the cliche answers as referenced by OP come across somewhat thoughtful.  Very likable personality despite being someone who can crush an average person like I can crush a paper cup. I knew Motons mother had a career at MSU but was looking on the google and found that Mushin Muhammad personally knew Motons grandfather.   His late grandfather was a professor at MSU.   Cool guy.  Interesting family and small world.
    • I think people aren’t patient enough with Young. It can take a few years for a QB to develop. Look at Darnold, Baker and most recently Daniel Jones.   he hasn’t been able to put up big passing numbers either cause of how much we run the ball. You can tell our coaching staff still hasn’t took the training wheels off Bryce and let him go all out. We’ve had some pretty bad receivers as well. We finally got a true number one last year and look how much Bryce improved. Still we didn’t really have any depth behind TMac. Coker was hurt for a lot of the year and XL was our #2. How many big plays or TDs has XL dropped? I think this year can be the year we see Bryce able to hit his stride. If not then we can start looking for another qb but I just ask people to be patient.
    • poo I doubt any Bucs fan would trade Baker for BY either lol.
