You have no idea what you're talking about.

?? I'm assuming we'll slip up on the road somewhere and if you notice I have us winning against very good teams at home. You think we'll sweep the road or something? There's always that one game every year that you lose on the road to a bad team; I think Cle is that game.

Or we can beat Cleavland because Cleavland is awful.

why are you switching to "we" in discussing the team to "you" in the same reference? it's like you're another team's fan pretending to be a carolina fan...

With the way the team looks at this moment in time and with the assumption that current players will step up (just like the other draft picks in the past... as they stated), then how can his be an 8-8 or less team? I see 8-8 as a minimum and 10-6 as realistic.

My prediction and others from what I can see are based on who is here now. Once the draft is over and free agency winds down we will better know who is here. Once training camp and preseason arrive we will have a much clearer idea of where we stand. Predictions then will likely be more accurate and semi-reliable. Until then it is the offseason and right now we are not a very talented or deep team at several positions. So I can see 8-8 or less right now. As I just said, if we make additional pickups and bring quality guys in, the predictions will change and should. Any predictions now are like saying how much money do you have based on looking at your checking account. It depends on when you look. For most of us it changes over time. Likewise to determine if we will be good or bad depends on when you look. Right now our team may not look the same as it will 5 months from now or it may not change that much.

The schedule is a big break IMO. Much easier than last years schedule. Plus the fact is we have a QB now that just doesn't throw the ball up and hope and prey Smitty grabs it and pulls it down. Should be a great year, and the way Moore stepped up last year I was blown away honestly, I never thought he would play and have like the second best passer rating in the NFL the last 5 games!!!!

GO PANTHERS!!!

    • We need a Sam Off Ball Backer to pair with Lloyd. Lloyd is a strong Interior Will especially in Pass Coverage- but that is also Trevin Wallace’s archetype. Need a Rozeboom style run stopper. Rodriguez and Allen fit that
    • There aren’t that many ways to screw Day 2 up.  That’d be them making an obvious reach, or selecting at one of the few positions that we are pretty solid at. Because as excited as we are for the growth and improvement this team is showing, it’s still not an overly talented or deep roster. Honestly, there aren’t really many positions I’d feel bad about. Feelings about Bryce aside (because we are not going to select a QB), it’s really RB (bad positional value) and that’s it. I guess OT too since we grabbed Freeling in Round 1.    While not as high on my wish list as other spots, you can justify WR or TE.     Interior offensive lineman who would likely take over an interior spot either this year (at center) or guard (next for cap casualty of Hunt or Lewis)? Fine by me.   Dlineman? Yes, that’s a highly rotational position and we have zero quality depth.    ILB? Yep, could stand for an upgrade over Wallace.    EDGE? Absolutely wouldn’t hate another option to spell Phillips, Scourton, and Princely.    FS?  Would love to add better coverage skill set to the backend of the defense. Moehrig and Ransom are great in run support but not as good deep. Adding a more traditional FS would allow us to mix and match/run some 3 safety sub packages and or a big nickel type look with a SS down near the line for better run support in possible pass downs.    CB? Could stand to get better at nickel.
    • Sounds like Veesaar is entering the draft. He could always test the waters and pull out and return but without him our big men look like a serious liability. Better do something in the portal. If they don't do something about this portal madness my days as a college sports fan are probably numbered. This bullshit of having a nearly entirely new team every season is gonna get old fast.
