Rod STOP playing Kuzy Necas and Svech

I mean in theory I get the line. In practice, it just doesn't work. But wtf are you gonna do with those guys?

Kuz third line? Svech third line? Necas third line? These are all top 6 guys.

But I do think you're right. Gotta shake it up. Necas third line, Turbo up with the Kuz and Svech. If that doesn't fix it, what, Marty up? Drop Jarvis to 2 to put Svech with Aho?

Guenz - Aho - TT(Jarvis)

Svech - Kuz - Jarvis(TT)

Martinook - Staal - Fast

Noesen - Drury - Necas

KK Lemieux

Best line combos for our guys play styles AND system nuff said. If we need a heavier 4th line then think about swapping in KK.

Aho and Jarvis play too well together to split them up. Guentzel has seemed to click with Aho/Jarvis also, so I wouldn't touch that line.

Marty-Staal-Fast have to stay together (when Fast gets healthy) because of how important they are to locking down opposing first lines.

It comes down to how you want to build the other two lines. I agree with the person above of doing Svech, Kuz, and TT together and putting Necas with Noesen and Drury/KK. I would have KK as the odd one out.

I think Aho/Jarvis are a bit of a red herring. They always go in spurts but there was reasons Jarvis was dropped off one when his production slowed/disappeared. Perhaps playing with Staal has fixed some of those tendencies for Jarvis but we’ll see. If 1 can’t sustain a forecheck TT > Jarvis for 1. Even if it is a high flying line right now. In the playoffs we need forecheck with a dash of high flying generation, not the other way around.

    • Well, they're both in the same league (if you will). During preseason, Fitz went 3/3 & Sauls went 5/6, but of course Sauls was 4/4 last night (including one 50+). Both were Lou Groza Award finalists. I believe Fitz made two 55+ yarders last season, while Sauls led the nation with three. Fitz was 13/13 (💯) while Sauls was 21/24 (87.5). Fitz was a 3rd-Team AP All-American, while Sauls was a PFF All-American.  Career-wise, Fitz was 58/74 (78.4), while Sauls was 52/64 (81.3). I wish that I could see the attempts and knew the depth of yardage. I wish that we could compare practice kicks during their training camps, but we can't. Maybe someone with a PFF/CFF account can give that Basically it's just a matter of belief I guess. Seeing dude knock down four FGs and go perfect during a pressure-filled game for him is damned impressive if you ask me. I don't believe that Fitzgerald could do that.  That being said, I'd have to know more. I will say that it may be worth mentioning that we seem to like PFF this year and Sauls being a PFF All-American may be notable. Now that being said, the Panthers may not be even considering Sauls.
    • Ive said it 1000x times on here.  Our 2025 season will be dictated by the first 4 games.  poo the bed there and lose all confidence and momentum, we win 5 games maybe.  Go 2-2, 3-1 we got a look at 7/8 wins
    • I basically made almost the exact predictions on a phone call with a buddy about 3 weeks ago. I really do expect Evero gone before the seasons end, Young to just not able to get over the hump enough and DC to head into next season on a VERY hot seat.
