I'd like to make the suggestion that you choose your next dog from a shelter instead of a breeder. I've had both a purebred Scotty and a rescue black lab mutt and loved them both the same. We need to discourage excessive breeding.

Yeah, that's what we were planning on doing. We both are in agreement to find a shelter dog

only experience i had living with one was a roommate had one as a puppy and it tore everything apart. of course he said he picked the most hyper one of the litter because he thought it meant it would be smarter.

and then he left it inside for hours on end while he went to school, work, and then hung out with his fiance.

i wasn't unhappy when he got married and moved out with the dog.

i'm sure others have had a better experience than me.

They are smart but they are terrors when they are young.  I crate train mine so he stays in a safe space lace for him and everyone else. 9 years later he still loves the crate. It takes a lot more f consistency and discipline but they are lovely companions

My beagle mix lab will be 15 in December.  My vet tried to convince me to put him down. That was a year ago. My dog is a badass. He still fugs his pillow and plays with the other dog. He gets spoiled every night he gets ham, turkey heated with cheese for all of his pills. He is slowly dieing (aren't we all) but he is loving life. I give him his pain pills when needed. He usually has 6 good days a week. If I can't put grandpa down, I'm not putting my dog down.

    • Not sure there is anything that will do that outside of Young actually being a legit top 12 QB. Where he won’t need excuses made for him.  It is just as likely to multiply them.
    • When has it not?     Also, when these starters play physical defense and turn that into transition offense, this team is downright scary.     that felt weird to type.
