Over/under on Aho or even his line sitting tonight? He sat out practice yesterday but he is Aho soooo…

I honestly think Rod wants to do it to see how the boys respond without their ace line.

Burns did too but he’s got his iron man streak to protect. Not sure if it’s interrupted if he’s a healthy scratch.

You think Nadeau and Blake go? Or just nadeau?

I definitely think Nadeau and Morrow go, they may want to get Blake one more practice but I could also see Rod throwing Blake out there because of Blake’s background.

Blake spent a couple years with the Chicago Steel in the USHL so he’s likely got some friends and acquaintances in the area. Rod might just go ahead and throw him out there.

Well it’d be dope to see a pair of rookie laps today.

As an aside we gotta figure out this Kuz, Necas thing. Hopefully Rod keeps Necas with Drury. But not sure how we get Kuz’s game up. He’s been playing great defense but it’s not really being impactful.

Kuz has not been very good.

I don’t know where else to put him.

I like JAG, MSF, and I really liked Noesen - Drury - Necas.

That leaves a line of Svechnikov - Kuznetsov - Turbo.

Svech and Turbo have had some chemistry together at times, maybe they can lift Kuznetsov’s play up.

Hopefully his playoff magic turns on in the playoffs. I think svech and turbo would lift him. But I think Jarvis would up his impact way more. I know I know don’t split the GAS(Jarvis) line but I think Kuz would be able to feed Jarvis at the same rate as Guenz is. TT feeding Guenz to up Guenz goal game instead of Guenz being the feeder.

We brought Guenz in to be a scorer, give him TT distributing the puck to him. 4/8 Guenz goals are empty net with the canes. We need to get him a feeder.

He hasn't been horrible either though, keep in mind he was paired with both Svechnikov and Necas who were both also experiencing slups the majority of the last 10 games.

F*ck please tell me you are speculating about sitting the top line lol

“Jalen Chatfield, Brett Pesce, Jordan Staal and Teuvo Teravainen (maintenance) did not play on Friday, but did practice on Saturday.

Sebastian Aho, Brent Burns, Jake Guentzel, and Seth Jarvis (maintenance) did not practice on Saturday.”

Rod is gonna sit the top line isn’t he. Which I get why he would. But it’s not really fair to Aho who just needs 2 points to hit 90.

    • I wonder if they'd consider trading Rasheed Walker to a team that needs tackle help but missed out in the draft?
    • LOL. This is such a Panthers fan take.  Anyone who falls to us must suck because some other team didn't take them before.  We got lucky with Lemon, Thieneman, and Freeling all falling to us (honestly any of the three is a A+) but the WR and S positions are much deeper than the LT position in this draft.  We got the LT w/ the most upside at 19.  Mauigoa played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the nfl.  Spano played RT in college and some think he is a guard in the NFL due to short arms.  Blake Miller played RT in college and is not as good as Freeling.  Proctor is a true LT but his ability to handle quick edge's worries me (see Icky).  Freeling is a true LT and a gifted pass protector.  Many think he has a very high ceiling and will benefit from not having to start right away.  This is how you build a franchise.
    • After watching Cam get killed for years behind a bad Oline and having to watch the 2021 and 2023 Olines I will never complain about this team putting resources into that spot.  We got a true LT who could really push Rasheed Walker for the day 1 job. Go back and watch Iceky's draft profile from 2022 and all the talk was Ickey would be an all-pro guard in a zone blocking scheme, but he could play LT in a gap power run scheme. That's why Ickey looked really good when Wilks took over and we just started running gap run plays and just mauled people up front but under Canales we've been more of a zone running team. Ickey can survive at LT with his pass blocking but his true strength will always be his ability to just move guys in the run game and that's a skill set that's better used at guard.  Take another OT later on day 3 to learn from Moton to take over RT in a couple of years and let Walker and Freeling battle it out for the day 1 LT job then next offseason trade one of Hunt of Lewis and let Ickey move inside to guard.
