A big fighter. That’s the only reason I see playing him, is to drop the gloves with somebody.

Lemieux is easily > Comtois based on skill. The only reason I see it is to have a fighter that we can spare out of the game plan to take out Trouba or Rempe.

Eh I’m no so sure about that especially in our system. Comtois showed his value against CBJ, people forget he was a second round pick just like Lemieux.

Lemieux is integrated in our system. Comtois is not. He’s also a big time fighter. 109PIM in the AHL this year. He was a -23. This isn’t the blue jackets rookies and bottom 6. I don’t see Rod skipping Lemieux for any other reason than having an expendable fighter that can lay out Trouba or Rempe that we don’t have to worry about getting suspended, etc. 

 

I’ll gladly eat crow if he has a good game but I don’t have a good feeling about this move. As much as I’m gonna love Macdonagh saying C** Tw** live on air.

I suspect he's back In game three.... on the road it's harder to hide his defensive liability not sure about Como over Lemieux though

      What do you want to see come out of the 2024 season the most?

      I want the conversations at season's end to be more about what else we need to build onto the foundation to be playoff contenders and less about the fultility of drafting yet another QB and hiring yet another coach because as long as Tepper is the owner, it doesn't matter what this team does.
