So I was just looking at this and thought that would be a possibility.  I'll take it.

Ghost played okay his first time here. Was PP QB last year and put up some respectable numbers.

Wouldn't mind Okposo and/or Roslovic, either.

Needless to say, this will be far from the best scoring blue line in the league.

All the deals so faR for free agents

william carrier 5 years 2m aav

Sean walker 5 years 3.6m aav

Ghost 3 years 3.2m aav

Tyson jost 1 year league minimum

After adding Martinook deal

team has around 10m cap space.

Jarvy will take around 6 of that.

That is the current top 23 of the team counting the new contracts via cap friendly.

they’ve spent 6.7m on forwards.
they’ve spent 9.8m on defensemen.

They had 27m cap to start before they resigned Chatty. They spent around 16.5m and have 10.2m in space.

    • Yes, he's a tier above them, but you also touched on the money side of it.  With T-Mac locked in as our #1 on a rookie contract for a few more years, I'd much rather use that money that would be needed for DJ on our defense and develop Coker into our #2.   Especially given his contract situation as an UDFA, as his contract is up at the end of this year but we can keep him around for a 3rd team controlled year on the real cheap.  Which means we probably could get him to sign a very reasonable extension this offseason to give him a little more money while giving us a bargain contract for what he provides. DJ's contract is north of $20 million for the next 5 years, why pay that for your #2 WR with the needs we have on defense and you have guys like Coker, XL, and Horn on rookie contracts who very well could combine to be a serviceable 2-4 WRs behind a stud in T-mac? I love DJ and he'd be a great fit on this team as our #2, but the money side of it just makes absolutely zero sense, that's all it comes down to for me on this one. And no, I don't see the Bears wanting XL back in that trade, because they drafted Burden, who is essentially a better version of what XL provides, a player you want to get the ball into their hands and let them go to work.
    • I didnt see that many bad calls in the panthers cowboys game, but the chiefs especially in the playoffs were getting every single call they could get then the refs when it didnt matter would throw a call towards the other teams.  That I believe was the taylor swift effect.   But its crazy just thinking about how easy it is to change a game.  You dont need but a single ref to make a few close calls go towards one team over the other and in the nfl that is the game.
    • I don't think it's unrealistically blaming Bryce Young......to say has been a reason, sometimes a big one, in why our pass offense overall has been extremely week over the past 3 collective seasons.  I think that bothering anyone, is just being overly invested in some Bryce Young argument.  It's just a reality.
