Live updates: Panthers Back Together Saturday

Recommended Posts

Canales done speaking. Corbett up now. Says the injury narrative is overblown since the first one was during the middle of the last game of the season. Doesn't see moving to center to be a big deal. Says Bryce has a "quieter" mind this go around. Complimentary of Hunt + Lewis.

DB segment

  • Grateful for camp to be in Charlotte and be able to go home since he has a baby daughter now. Getting plenty of daddy time.
  • Complimentary of Hunt + Lewis being added. Will make him better.
  • Everybody has bought in. Goal is to contend for the division and make the playoffs.
  • Looking to have more convos with Pep, Kuechly, KK, and find out more about what it was like when they were on the team in an attempt to better understand and implement the culture they had
  • Felt a lot of times last year he didn't put his best on the field and wants to do better this season and will try to do so by "being available all of the time."
  • Talked up Shaq Thompson as the captain
  • Longest bus ride: 4.5hr ride back from Mississippi State while with Auburn after getting whooped. Left at 11pm and nobody spoke until they got in @ 3:30am

Having to convert the URL and deal with the site freezing my browser on mobile is balls.

Got tweets to copypasta from the last 45min. Gimme a sec to relocate to my desktop 😄

I thought the freezing was just me!  This place freezes my browser at random all the time.  Sometimes multiple times in a couple minutes.

    • The panthers are such a trash organization at this point that all the huddle can do is argue about which panthers team is historically the worst…good times.
    • Well, hope they're not worried about a torn Labrum or Rotator Cuff, as someone who went through that myself, I know those don't have anything show up on X-Rays but from the MRI, so this is kinda a nothing update, hope it's not a tear or his season is already over if they decide to do surgery now. Which is basically what would be needed to get him to 100% for the start of next season's training camp if it's a labrum.  If he plays the season with it and then does surgery, he's not going to be ready for camp and probably not the start of the season either.
    • I always try to not pay much attention to a team’s preseason win/loss record. The 1982 Washington and 2021 LA Rams both lost every game in the preseason and went on to win the Super Bowl, whereas the 2008 Detroit Lions and 2017 Cleveland Browns both won every game in reason and went on to lose every regular season game. There’s many examples of teams that lose in preseason that go on to have good seasons, but equally there are teams that lose in preseason and that continues in the regular season. Which will we be?  I think our floor is a handful of wins, while our ceiling will probably be around the 9-10 win mark. The latter will require significant improvement from the whole team and coaching staff, and will also need Bryce to play like the QB we drafted him to be. I want to be optimistic and predict a winning season, but it’s really difficult as a Panthers fan!
