I have been watching the NFL since the 1977 Super Bowl. I have seen a lot of great players and a lot of spectacular athletes.

I have never ever, ever seen anyone who could be such a dominant force on the field of play that Julius Peppers was. He was a phenom, a force of nature. He was the greatest DE of his generation and could have been just as destructive at about five other positions on offense or defense.

It hurt when he went north, but I understand. And it was wonderful that he came back and treated us to another couple of victory laps.

Thanks Julius for being the great player and guy that you are.

    • That color scheme is a crime against humanity.
    • Against the Saints, Mayfield hit Egbuka in the end zone, but Egbuka dropped it—costing the Bucs six points. They ended up losing by four. Against the Falcons, Mooney fumbled with six Bucs around him, yet somehow he still came up with the football. Later, Cousins fumbled and apparently had a hand on the ball along with a Bucs defender. The refs awarded possession back to Atlanta. Pitts caught a TD with part of his body clearly landing out of bounds. Replays looked like his elbow was either down before  or at the same his butt hit, but somehow the Falcons still got the touchdown. Either the Football Gods are smiling down on the Panthers, or the Bucs have seriously pissed them off. Either way, I’ll take it.
    • I'm so moist seeing the Bucs get humbled. It got to the point where even some folks here might as well have had a Mayfield Buccaneers jersey in their closet. They know who they are. It's been 8 long years in the Carolinas. Please don't squander this opportunity. It should be a welcomed bonus that our possible ascent will begin with defeating the Saints. Get it done.
