Watch out world, UnderCats (Underdogs/ Thundercats, no?) go into Orlando take the first game, dominate the second. Then take the next two at home. Then we're going to dominate ATL in 6,beat Cleveland in 7, and meet the Lakers in the finals. It's going to be like the Panthers '04 playoff run. Cats/ Lakers championship game but this time CLT owns LA like they have for the past 5 years and CLT brings home it's first Championship. A dreamer can dream!! LET'S GO CATS!!! :D

I am not too sure about having a better bench than the Magic. I think Magic are one of, if not the, the deepest team. Redick shooting 40% from 3 is ridiculous. Then you got Gortat coming off the bench and he offers great defense around the rim. And you got Bass, who was underutilized, is a nice player as well.

EDIT:

Also, Wallace said of Howard, when asked about the match-up with Howard and Orlando:

"We've got to get them off that 3-point line and at the other end we've got to force him to play outside the paint,'' Wallace said of Howard. "And we've got to attack him. Everybody knows he's a shot-blocker, but we can't just let him intimidate us out of driving the lane.''

Like I said in another thread, Howard will play a huge factor on both sides of the ball. Like Crash said, we can't be scared of D12 and forced to take outside shots. That really isn't our strong suit.

I mean you can't do it position-by-position. Just look at the bench as a whole. Orlando's bench averages 32.1 points per game and Charlotte averages 26.7. It is hard to compare benches because you don't play benches all at once, they are mixed with the starters. But just my personal opinion is that Magic from top to bottom is better.

This is the matchup I didnt want for the Cats. Oh well, gotta go out there and deal with the cards your dealt with. The Cats can do this! Lets go Bobcats! Bobcats in 6!

Playoff basketball back in the great state of NC. Man, what an exciting time!

Our defense have to step up big time in the franchise first Playoff games. The key to eliminating the Magic is do what they did before when they beat them the last time they play against each other: contain Howard. If they can prevent Howard & Carter too from shooting much points, they got a chance to beat them & move forward. Good luck, 'Cats!! :)

Awesome.

I dont get to attend many Magic games (about 4 or 5 each year) and i love when they come to Charlotte.

This series will be over in 4 though. I mean lets face it. We are the defending Eastern Conference Champions and the only team in the East that poses any kind of threat is Cleveland, not lowly Charlotte.

Hope you guys cheer loudly for those 4 games though, it's cool to see Charlotte in the playoffs.

    • Just going off the draft sims and he's always sitting around 20 lol. First year in a while where we haven't been thinking about the draft already in late October so haven't really looked into the top 15-20 picks yet. Also the qb class is super weak so he probably will sneak up into 10-15
    • I fully expect them to pick up his 5th year , and they're waiting for him to put a full excellent consistent season of QB play in year 4 or 5. If that don't happen,  they'll eventually cut ties.  Here's to hoping he just goes on a team in 2026. The worst thing he could do is continue to see-saw us to around .500 records because it might be impossible to replace him at that point unless youre willing to do the veteran qb carousel poo we did from 2019 to 2023.
    • What do you think of Bryce Youngs career thus far? Are you excited about his progress or is it not enough for you? I included a poll of ranking his performance through 3 years thus far.  I personally think he's made some decent progress. Has had some high moments (last half of 2024, Rams game, ATL game in 2025)  but in my mind, those are still outweighed by the many more lowlights thus far (ex turnovers, missed throws, poor decisions)  It's a very mixed bag for me. He's done enough to get a 5th year option but by no means should we lock him in with a 50+ mil a year multi year deal. I want to see him play consistently well for a full year before that happens (yes, I'm still saying that going into year 4. That might be telling).  Just sucks when you see CJ Stroud, Jayden Daniel's, Caleb Williams almost immediately lighting poo up with their arm talent. Maybe Bryce is just an ultra slow burn. I don't know what to think anymore. Guess we're gonna be stuck with him for a whilr unless we end up being bad enough to earn a high pick next year. I doubted it lol. Overall Stats for his career:       ● 14 W - 30L (regular season)       ● 0-1 playoffs record        ● 61.4% completion, 8291 passing yards, 49 TDs, 30 INTs  Year 1:       ● 2 wins, 14 losses      ● 60% completion rate, 2877 passing yards, 11 TD to 10 INTs, 5.5 yards per attempted pass Year 2:        ● 4 wins , 8 losses        ● 60.9% completion rate,  2403 passing yards, 15 TD, 9 INTs,  6.3 yards per attempted pass  Year 3:        ● 8 Wins, 8 Losses         ● 63.6% competition rate, 3011 passing yards, 23 TDs to 11 INTs  Playoffs         ● 1 game in year 3 ( 0 - 1 in playoffs)         ● 21/40 (52.5% completion rate), 264 passing yards, 1 TD, 1 INT.
