Proud to be a Panthers fan for once

I have a Carolina Panthers golf bag.  Let's just say, most comments I get from other golfers is how sorry they feel for me because of what this team has been.  Hopefully, the conversations have a little more upbeat vibe from here on out.  Regardless,  feels great to not be the weekly embarrassment in the NFL!!!

LFG!  KEEP POUNDING!

That’s what I’m saying.  It’s been embarrassing the past few years, but today I actually feel proud.

We’ve been so low, it feels good to win again and have some hope.

I don’t care who we’re gonna draft, who’s our QB of the future, who our coach is, who our owner is, what trades we’ve missed out on…

I just wanna root for the Carolina Panthers and feel good about it.

I haven’t cared about this team in a long long time, but I do today.

Proud to be a Panthers fan today.

Keep Pounding.

Bro, have we sunk that low or are you just that new? We’ve had plenty to be proud of over the years, and I will admit, being an App State fan, UNC fan, ECU fan, USC, NC STATE, Virginia Tech, or Coastal fan must be hard right now.

But man, all of those schools except UNC and NC State have had moments to be proud of. More proud than beating the Raiders.

I’m not new at all.

Being a Panthers fan has sucked for a long time…but yesterday I felt proud to say it again.

Oh, again. Gotcha. I thought you meant “first time ever”.

Part of me wonders how many potential fans have been lost due to the past 6 years of suckery. ECU effectively lost a whole generation of student athletics support due to their failings. I wonder how that works in the NFL.

I would say that I’m proud as well. I’m proud for Canales making a decision and it working out. It’s the first major coaching decision we’ve seen work since Wilks fired half of his staff and benched everyone else and started Sam. He knew what he wanted the offense to be and it paid off big time. And had we beaten Tampa, we probably never draft Bryce Young and yeah, butterfly effect.

This is probably the best win in the David Tepper era

The Lions game in 2022 was a great win solely due to the number of rushing yards, but the Lions hadn’t just come back and beaten the Ravens and had a horrible rush defense so, you may be right. Seeing 33-7 on the scoreboard was a blast back to 2015.

I'm happy we got a guy who likely isn't a yes man straight down the list.

And also think hitting on his hire would be better than a single QB short of HOF types. You get a culture and he can still find a QB.

Theee coach. I want someone who won't just go yes Mr Tepper, and when he says no, has it right. Like this, like Andy, like his plays look good.... Home run on this move. Hit a couple more.

Get that established and Tepper will be a minimal problem.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
