Diggs' departure zaps Panthers' depth

We went to the Super Bowl with Greg f**king Favors as our strong side outside linebacker and Ciurciu as our backup MLB. And right now Anderson and Connor >>> Favors and Ciurciu. Our LB depth is fine. Some people just want to freak because we cut aging vets that weren't that significant anyway.

Our starters are already on the team. Losing diggs isn't going to hurt. This team always drafts linebackers, so I'm sure they will add another body 4 depth.

...and for the record, one guy in reserve of 3 positions is not exactly having fine depth... Especially when one of those 3 positions is currently going to be filled with a warm body and not a starter caliber player...

No, they are still alive... for now...

If Connor or Anderson can't lock the position down and they are forced into rotation, that leaves them extremely thin and overworked though... We need at least one fresh face in the LB corps, and I'm pretty much guaranteeing that we pick one very early...

I honestly hope that it is Dan Connor who steps up. He's not quite as athletic as James Anderson, but he has a higher football IQ and he's solid in his fundamentals.

The way some of these posts read, is that these fans have no faith that the Panthers can draft good linebackers.

I really like our starters with Davis - Beason - Anderson/Conner.

Either Anderson or Conner (whoever loses out in the starter competition) is a very good back-up. We do need another solid LB to add for depth.

I think we will take one in the 6th....unless a big time value drops to us somewhere in our first three picks (much like Conner did).
