You literally don’t remember at all lmao.

its so important you can’t remember.

They won and lost two spots. Go cry in your milk about it.

Draft capital is real.

That's my point.

Your point is that I don't remember exactly where we would've been drafting in those previous years and that's completely irrelevant and pointless.

Cry about not understanding logic.

It’s not real until the season is over. They never had the 8th pick same as they never had the 1st pick.

Would you rather have gone 0-17, ya know really lock up that first pick. That’s what you want, right?

but it’s not really. drafting is not a hard, predictable science. a dollar is worth a dollar at any bank. a draft position is only as good as the player you end up picking. your dollar could get you a hundred, or it could get you a penny. some times the best looking players end up being nickels, while scraps end up being gold.

human behavior is a lot more predictable and controllable than the draft, so i’d argue the win, and the confidence it produces is more valuable than two spots in an unpredictable draft.

if draft position was as real as you’re trying to make it, the Browns would be champs every year.

If you're not in the playoffs you're better off being as high in the draft as possible. This isn't difficult to grasp.

Man, what a crazy game!  The Panthers offense had to be nearly perfect.  Atlanta didn't punt.  Way to play!

The draft with be the draft.  Whatever.

I'm so happy to end the season with a win.  Yeah, we still have a lot of weak areas, but this is one heck of a way to send the Falcons home.  I'll take it!

Real and not very important in this instance.  It comes across as your continued shitting on Bryce and the team.  Thousands of happy screaming fans and you're trying to shhhh everyone because us commoners don't understand how "bad" it was for us to win and lose a few draft spots.

If you want to keep beating a point with little to no significance, go right ahead.

I would rather draft #1 overall than later on the draft. Moral victories can't be measured. Draft capital can be. One has real value. The other is cope.

So again, you would have rather gone 0-17? That ensures the first pick, correct?

    • Yuck.  I still kind of like Herbert but these playoff performances are rough....
    • I feel like this was the case with River and McDermott defenses as well, we just had the jimmies and the joes to overcome these deficiencies with all pro players at edge and linebacker positions.  Even then, was extremely frustrated in 2015 when we'd let team come back from 20+ pt deficits playing prevent only to barely win at the end.
    • We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes. When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.
