Evero will return as DC

I disagree. It’s not hard to double a WR and still play the run. It’s called a bracket which you can use with a drop down safety or an OLB. Look up how it’s done. Also in obvious passing situations, doubling a wr is not hard. Falcons torched us in obvious passing situations time after time. 2 min drill, 3rd and long to where there’s no excuse to not focus more on Drake London. Mooney was out. London was the only WR Penix was looking at.  Evero simply can’t make adjustments. He’ll most likely be fired next year. Wish we would’ve just ripped the bandaid off this year. To call all people morons who think we can do better than Evero is a very ignorant and arrogant statement. Who the hell are you?

To think we would magically be a top 15 defense with a different DC is why i think people are moronic. I literally said evero hasn't been a great DC for us - I'm just laughing at the idiots that think we are magically going to be a good defense hiring somebody else when most of our defense is made up of UDFAs 🤣

And the falcons may have had 3 or 4 3rd and longs the entire game (obvious passing downs). The problem is we give up so many yards on 1st and 2nd down on run plays that if we somehow hold them to third down, they usually only have 1-3 yards to get. And bracketing a receiver is just an obvious audible for the offense to just run it off tackle the opposite way (especially if they are ISOing the wr to one side of the field). And seeing how we can't stop the run even when we stack the box, I imagine that would go for minimum 10 yards when the offense has numbers blocking us...

I dont doubt he can coach when he has his players for his scheme but honestly I don't like his scheme. I want an aggressive attacking style with press man and blitzing up the run gaps. You can run it with a 3-4 or a 4-3  like LeBeau for Pittsburgh or Jim Johnson style for the Eagles. I hate the bend until you break rush 4 crap Evero used all year. I guess I will cling to the notion that so many injuries made him keep things simple and fail to change or adapt rather than he gave up.

Same here, it was obvious that Penix struggles against the blitz yet we let him sit back rushing three on 3rd down most of the game. Also, 4-3 is just easier to outfit with players and there are some really good ends coming out this year. Hell, Clowney and Wonnum had their hands in the dirt the whole game every week anyways. 3-4 worked when there were guys like Gilbert Brown, Sam Adams, Goose, Ted Washington. Then your inside guys were Levon Kirkland paired with Kevin Greene on the outside. Its an antiquated defensive formula that requires very hard to find personnel. I wish they would move on from it.

To be fair, every qb struggles with a good blitz especially rookies. That's a good way to ruin a rookie qb as history has taught us.

    • Great season regardless of what happens. From starting out 4-14 to ending 44-38 is incredible progress and future is bright from here. I do think we can beat the Heat and then win on the road against either Orlando or Philly assuming Embiid doesn’t miraculously return sooner. But if not, a higher draft pick is nice too
    • I know a DT that's asking for a trade: 🤔 maybe a home discount can be worked out. Dan Morgan could create up to $80 million in space through restructures of stars like Derrick Brown, Jaycee Horn, or Taylor Moton. They could also include players like Tershawn Wharton ($18.6M cap hit) in the trade to balance the salaries. Carolina Receives: DT  Dexter Lawrence II New York Receives: 2026 2nd Round Pick (No. 51 Overall): A premium Day 2 selection that fits the for  Lawrence  after his 0.5-sack season in 2025. WR  Xavier Legette : A young, high-upside receiver who provides the playmaking depth HC John Harbaugh needs for his offense. 2026 4th Round Pick: Immediate mid-round value. 2027 4th Round Pick (via MIN): Future capital acquired in the  Adam Thielen  trade.  ----- Stone Forsythe* (another young player as a potential trade option)provides immediate offensive line retooling for HC John Harbaugh.    John Harbaugh's history in Baltimore proves he values draft volume over individual superstars.    Just my 2cents
    • Moved to Tuesday, not Wednes because of scheduling with Flyers game or something in Philly. But I don't feel good about the Heat.  It has been a great season regardless.  Team just been playing so hard to move up since a bad start and just picked a bad time to get gassed.  It's like almost everyone is shooting cold at the same time even wide open shots.   Maybe atmosphere and playoffs kick off a spark.  I'd rather be in a series than a one and done though. The team has a good foundation to build on regardless of what happens.
