Here's where our roster stands right now. Of course, there will be more signings & many cuts prior to the start of the season, but I was doing it to see how we were looking & thought I'd share. We should have a solid team next year, as long as LaFell can jump right in...I'm really excited to see what he can do. I guessed on KR & PR.

QB: Moore, Clausen, Pike, Cantwell

RB: Williams, Stewart, Sutton, Goodson

FB: Fiametta, Jackson

WR1: Smith, Moore, Jackson, Edwards, Young

WR2: LaFell, Jarrett, Wright, Martin, Gettis

TE: King, Rosario, Barnidge, George

LT: Gross, Williams, Ortmann

LG: Wharton, Davis, Gregory

C: Kalil, Justice

RG: Bernadeau, Robinson, Hisatake

RT: Otah, Petitti, Schwartz

LDE: Brayton, Hardy, Moore

RDE: Brown, Johnson, Taylor

DT: Leonard, Tyler, Hayden, Johnson, Landri, Irvin, Neblett

WLB: Davis, Warren, Ivy, Senn

MLB: Beason, Conner

SLB: Anderson/Conner, Norwood, Culberson

CB: Gamble, Martin, Stanford, Wilson, Witherspoon

CB: Marshall, Munnerlyn, McClain, Walker

SS: Harris, Hudson, Francisco

FS: Godfrey, Pugh, O’Hanlon

K: Kasey, Carter, Pettry

P: Baker, Hauden

LS: Jansen

KR: Edwards, Jackson

PR: Edwards, Jackson, Munnerlyn

(I posted this in the draft section, but should've posted it here)

I should have clarified. I did try to give some sense to the order, but it's only my order, not the Panthers (of course). I left Hayden ahead b/c he was on the team & started a game or so last year & Johnson has to prove he should start ahead (I'm using Foxxy's philosophy!).

Martin is now listed as a CB. The draftee Pugh (who was a CB) will be a safety for us, per Hurney & the official site roster).

One small fix..Hudson will be either another CB or FS. Francisco is the only true SS backup we have unfortunately =\

Thanks! I don't know much about either of these guys. Hudson is listed as a safety & I know Francisco is really a special teams guy. Hopefully the UFA from Nebraska is a SS backup.

If Fox puts Hayden in over Johnson he should be shot. if actually seen Johnson at work. and while hes not an every down pass rusher, hes pretty good, hes no slouch. Hayden how ever is a slouch, and a big pile of poo.

I honestly think Hayden should be cut, but again...the reasoning stands that Fox is 'too' loyal to players he has history with.

Johnson will be rotational IMO, he is a penetrator versus run-stuffer, so he will be a 3rd down guy probably. We have good depth on DL, DT, not as much DE.

why is Pike ahead of Cantwell? I'm pretty sure Pike will be on the practice squad

If Pike gets put on the practice squad, then there was no reason to draft him. Someone would scoop him up. Cantwell has been on the PS before. It's just my reasoning.

Pike is also alot better then cantwell but cantwell knows the plays more just for being with us for a year already so my guess is that they will decide that in camp, but odds r cantwell will most likley get cut or sent to the practice squad

    • I don't necessarily think he will be moved, I would currently be leaning against that notion. I think a lot will depend on the coaching situation. Carroll certainly can't be thinking about wanting to go through a serious strip down and overhaul, so the longer he plans to remain, the less likely I think Crosby gets moved.
    • I think everyone says Mike Evans because of size, but really they have different strengths and play styles.  Tmac is better on intermediate routes and not nearly as good at contested catches.
    • At this point, it is criminal to go into the 2026 training camp/OTA's with XL penciled in as a #2 WR. The team must upgrade, either through free agency or the draft. If he cannot give 100% effort on significantly less snaps as a #4-6 WR(players like Tremayne have done that consistently) then I don't think you have a player worth rostering beyond the trade deadline. Offensively, we eventually have to upgrade to an NFL starting caliber C. It's been almost the length of time from Gross to Ikey since Kalil retired and we have below average to terrible C play. Love Mays as a BC-esque utility backup but he will never be an above average long term starting C.  The TE room is one of the worst in the NFL but it's a low usage position in this offense, so the investments are likely to be small, if any. I would never expect to see an elite TE in a Dave Canales offense. 100% agree on OL depth. We actually aren't bad there but BC will be gone, Mays is a UFA, Corbett is a UFA and Zavala has been both injured and bad. We have to bolster that depth again or resign guys like Mays and Corbett to keep that depth somewhat stable.
