Sorry to hear this. I love Dan Morgan and wish him the best. The food business is always tough these days much more so.

Dan...if you are reading this...I am sure you will land on your feet. My favorite moment from last season was having my picture taken with Dan at a tailgate....his autograph on my visor is treasured.

opening a restaurant is one of those things everyone thinks they can do but really can't. much like writing and directing a film.

see Virgins, the

I've seen so many fail myself. I worked in several "mom & pops" stores for years before getting on with a chain (helped pay my college tuition). All but two are now out of business. If you can't get a devoted following, keeping your name and the brand relevant is too damn hard for those that can't afford TV spots every 30 minutes like my competators now.

Speaking of those two, one is a sports bar that is a poor man's version of Hooters and the other is located in a small tourist trap town with little competition. Point being, both have their niches carved out and have endeared a following.

I personally advised two groups of aquaintances against going into the restaurant business and both failed quickly, one inside of six months.

Then he said "bad management, both of them".

I think it was the newly formed company called "Barfly" that managed both outfits. (Cheese-mos and Sweet T). Not positive on this.

Funny how they never mention the high rent had a lot to do with why they are gone. I looked at renting a spot there, and the numbers were just insane.

Not the location !!!

Cosmos is kicking ass. Goes to show young pussy is more in demand than a washed up football jock.

I disagree, rent off rea rd there is not cheap and its yuppy land.

If he opened up in Indian Trail or Monroe it would have done well.

I dont know if anyone on this board lives nears Indian trail, but there is now a sports bar over by Sun Valley Highschool called Bear Paw or something like that.

The set up is awesome, but the food sucks big time !! It still makes money though because it plays the game sand and has a nice bar. Its not yuppy..very cool atmosphere. (wild wings type crowd)

Rent is a killer. The Panther employees used to go to a place called Longhorn Steakhouse on Morehead almost every day for lunch. Place was packed every single day. Guy eventually shut it down because of the insane rent. So the idiot charging the high rent had an empty lot for at least a year (might be something there now, I don't know).

Think theres a condo or office building there now; I was under the impression that the land was worth more than what the Longhorn made so they sold, but I don't know for sure. I always liked going over there and having my lunch while trying to listen to whatever Fox was talking about...

Ravens love Flowers. Egbuka was a strong OROY pick   Seems like a great spot with these recent picks.......Best value has been WR....
    • false rumor, he's a team leader.  No clue what he is worth.....Rico came off the streets for 2.5million and put him to #2 for weeks. I doubt a team would give much more than a late rounder. Like Frank said above, 5th would be tops and very lucky.  He's got a fair contract and is well liked by players, coaches, and FO. No reason to trade.
    • Set us back a few years but..a decade? lol what are you smoking man.   only 2000s move that’s come close to actually setting a team that far back wash owns trading for Deshaun, thankful we didn’t win that “sweepstakes” at least    I know hyperbolic commiseration is all the rage here but no team in the NFL is more than a few years away from competing if they go about things right (“right” being the key word here) just in the last few years see: Lions, Patriots, Broncos, Colts (pre DJ injury)
