If you have a Verizon Smartphone, you get all Thursday games streamed free + more

If you have a Verizon Wireless Smarthphone, like the Motorola Droid, you can stream live during the NFL season FOR FREE:

  • Live coverage of the NFL Draft ( Already Passed )
  • NFL Network.
  • NFL Red Zone.
  • Live Thursday night games.
  • Live Sunday night games.
  • Live Radio Audio of every game, home and away team included.

Among other things. I have been using this application on my Motorola Droid since the day before it went live and watching NFL Network leading up to the draft and then watching the draft play out live from my phone was actually pretty amazing, and it helped me not have to spend an extra pretty penny on getting NFL Network and the obvious plans that come with it. I saw the thread about people wanting NFL Network but not wanting to switch TV carriers, and I thought this might help them.

It is free so long as you download the app before December 31, 2010.

Here is the original 13 Verizon Wireless Smart Phone List, All Newer Smart Phones Should Be Compatible!

At launch, NFL Mobile will be available on 13 3G Smartphones and 3G Multimedia Phones, including DROID by Motorola, Motorola DEVOUR™, DROID ERIS™ by HTC, BlackBerry® Curve™ 8530, BlackBerry Curve™ 8330, BlackBerry Storm2™, BlackBerry Storm™, BlackBerry Tour™, BlackBerry 8830 World Edition, LG Chocolate Touch™, LG enV® TOUCH, LG VX8360 and Samsung Rogue™.

NFL Mobile is a free app covering the 2010 NFL season, with no subscription or monthly charges if customers download it by Dec. 31, 2010. For customers without an unlimited data plan, data or megabyte charges may apply when downloading or using the application.

Beginning today, customers with Android phones can download the app from the Verizon Channel in Android Market™. Customers with BlackBerry devices can enter http://mobile.vzw.com/nfl on their smartphones' browsers to download the app. Over the next few weeks, BlackBerry customers will also receive a virtual pre-load of the NFL Mobile app to the homescreen of their smartphones. Customers with select 3G Multimedia Phones can get the app by texting "NFL" to 2777 to receive directions on how to download.

Just thought I would give a heads up if you hadn't seen this already.

If you are not Verizon Wireless, you can attempt to place this .apk on your phone.

The people who created this .apk say it is unlocked, for all carriers, not just Verizon, to use this app so long as your phone has the hardware to run it, and you can install .apks.

I can not confirm as the two phones my father and I own are a Motorola Droid and a Motorola "Droid" Incredible and they both work under the normal .apk.

Again, if you want to try it on another carrier or a phone not listed earlier, try installing this to your phone:

Its nice to have and I didn't see a thread on it here already. Now, for sure, no matter where you are on week 16, if you can't get home and see it on NFL Network, or be lucky enough to actually be at the game, you can watch it for free. Glad you are enjoying it so far!

    • I'd hold on to Walker - we have no OT depth at all. Freeling is a block of clay - all the tools are there and he appears to have a great attitude. He needs serious work on his technique to realise his potential though.
    • From my watch last night: They weren't trading out of 19 unless it was a daft offer once Freeling got there. They were clearly antsy to get Hunter - and Minnesota actually called to offer the trade down. They weren't trading out of the third round pick once Brazzell fell to it (and Canales would have been happy with him in the second round). They traded back a lot on Day 3 - even if Morgan 'Babe Ruth'd' it with Lee, Hecht and Wheatley; they clearly weren't the only guys they would have taken at those picks. I'm curious to know which player caused the reaction at the start of day 2 (Dan Morgan): "of course they'd pick him"
    • Watching this confirms that this staff and front office is super high on Monroe Freeling. I wouldn't be surprised if he's gotta a real chance to win the starting LT job in camp. If he does, we can look to flip Rasheed Walker to a contender desperate for tackle help.   As for Ickey I still really like him and wanna extend him but based on how the staff was talking about Freeling it might be time for ickey to start taking some practice sets at guard if he wants to stay here as we are gonna have to have figure out a solution for the contracts of Lewis and Hunt.  My preferred scenario for the Oline in 2027 is Freeling-Ickey-Hech-Lewis-Moton.
