BOBCATS Should Go After DWADE

Recommended Posts

This Lineup Would be Sweet(and yes I change some of the starters around I think its a better line up) I think we could contend for a title with wade here in charlotte.

pg: DJ

sg: wade

sf: Jackson

pf: Thomas

c: Chandler

bench: felton wallace diaw hughes nazy

Completely plausible.... and you neg repped me for claiming that 10 mil a year is too much for a MLB

not going to happen anytime soon, i think alot of people don't understand the salary cap and the way things work in the nba, to sign wade we would need to clear somewhere between 16 and 20 million dollars in cap space(hard to do since mostl nba contracts are 100% guaranteed) so we can't just clear cap space the way the nfl does, and wade would have to want to be here(love charlotte but miami is on whole different level esp. if you have a little $$)and either way the only team to win a championship with a big time free agent in the last 15 or so years were the lakers(shaq)

MJ said yesterday on the radio that he plans to make a couple of moves this offseason to get better and go deeper in the playoffs next season.

And when he said.. "go deeper in the playoffs" that kinda made me a little excited that maybe.. he's aiming to make a big splash. But with the cap, I don't see what much he can do really.

    • I encourage you to go back and watch his college play. Notice how he immediately backpedals to 10 yards behind the LOS on almost every snap. You can't do that in the NFL. Your OTs have no chance of keeping those freak show edge rushers off of you. You can't create a pocket that deep. Bryce can chuck it when he has an airport runway in front of him to step up into. There's a reason why "ease of creating velocity" is such a talking point evaluating QBs. It's not how hard or how far you can throw the ball given a perfect situation. It's how hard and how far you can throw the ball in a typical NFL game situation and that's where a lot of my concerns with Bryce were going into the draft. There were way too many plays in his college tape that if you were watching that purely in terms of translating it to the NFL it just didn't work.
    • Yeah, like I said I get it. From a revenue perspective I'm not a good customer for them. They've probably intentionally tanked offline franchise mode to try to get people online. Again, not a terrible strategy from a pure business perspective. I can't really be mad at them for doing what's good for business but yeah, from my perspective it still sucks.
    • Ok let me be more specific. Smith was a stud before Newton got here do you not agree? Yes, LaFell improved under Cam but then had his best years after leaving the Panthers with Cam as the QB and going to NE. So he improved playing with someone else. Olsen was in Chicage the year before Cam arrived and statistically had the same numbers his first year with Cam.  Hope that's clearer for you.
