Gassing up at BP

Has anyone gassed up at a BP since the spill?

If you have, why?

And please don't say they were 5 cents cheaper than the next gas station.

Nope, but I didn't before. Usually because they are always more than everybody else. Like Shell, don't go there either.

I can't gas up at BP or Shell!

Their pumps are all set on a concrete pad about 6-12" thick! On top of that their credit card reader in the pumps are too high!

Why does this make a difference? When you're in a wheelchair it makes a HUGE difference! The only pumps that aren't like that are Texaco, World Gas and some smaller gas stations.

There's a group out of Michigan, Paralyzed Veterans of America that are working and trying to get the bigger conglomerates like BP & Shell to put in a handicapped pump/s. But they BP & Shell won't listen!

So I urge all to boycott those two companies! (Since you brought it up.)

I haven't but it has nothing to do with the oil spill. BP is consistently higher than other station in the area. Wawa is more conveniently located and cheaper.

ugh people act like mistakes never happen. i never shop there before, cause they are always high/est. the latest issue will not stop me if they are the cheapest.

Why would I allow the spill to stop me? They screwed up no doubt about it, but it could just as easily have been one of the other companies. They didn't do it intentionally.

That being said, I buy my gas from a little local place right down the street. Its a few cents higher, but I know the owner and all the profit goes local. But I have no idea where they get their gas from. Could be BP, I don't know.

Plus the girl behind the register is easy on the eyes.

if they also opted out of the safety measure that would've prevented it, right? i don't know if other companies have or not.

I haven't because they're usually more expensive. However, any gas station can be selling BP gas and you'd never know and the BP branded stations could be selling any company's gas.

I buy it at the Kangaroo, I have no idea what company they get their gas from but its the least expensive place in town to get gas.

I usually stop at a local place where they pump it for me, or go to sheetz.
