ummm I hate to be the bearer of bad new but I wouldn't put it past this team to win six games or win eleven games. It's really too early to tell. Anyways I think we match up well with the Saints, but not with the Falcons...Turner was killing us last year before he got hurt.

You guys are forgetting that in this age it is not the defense that puts a team in the playoffs. How was the defense of the Saints or Colts or Vikings? Good? Maybe just barley. But no where near the caliber of their offensive capabilities. A good defense is necessary but the recent trend puts much more emphasis on a team's offense.

I think our season depends on how many injuries we accumulate, especially to our D-line and WRs. We stay healthy, and certain rookies step up we will easily go 10-6 or 11-5. Worst case we go 7-9.

The Falcons have what basically amounts to a decent game manager type QB and a power run game. That's an offensive approach that really needs a good defense to truly be as effective as it's meant to be-our fans of all people know that for sure.

Think of the times we've beaten the Mike Smith/Matt Ryan Falcons: we get up by 10+ points and they all but disintegrate because they've been forced into pass-first mode. They may put up some points and draw close, but they're not built to be a pass first team and eventually commit some type of back breaking mistake. They're not in the same league as the teams you mentioned offensively speaking at all.

5-11?!? Many of the fans there are idiot. We are getting younger & going to start getting better. With a new starting QB along with Clausen & some promising rookies, we sure as hell will be better than 5-11. 8-8 too. Not to mention we will have an easier schedule than last season.

    • Lol Atlanta looks to have lost their young edge rusher, has no 1st round pick, a complete mess at QB, a new coaching staff… And we swept them this year. Says what they think of us.
    • I mean, you can only go so far with the propping up. When a guy's numbers are as bad overall as Bryce's you have to try to find specific niches to sell. It's just funny that they're honing in on where he's probably weakest to try to prop him up. Whether it's a pro-Bryce conspiracy or not, it echos my chief complaint about PFF's analysis for years. When your purely statistical analysis badly skews from the eye test of actually watching the games, it should be screaming at you that you need to modify your system not double down on it. PFF is awesome at compiling stats but their grade systems are highly flawed and they never seem to try to improve them.
    • Then why is Byce also last in other PFF stats?  The deep ball thrower stat by PFF can simply be flawed vs some conspiracy trying to prop up a QB on a team that a former employee now works for.  Both of these guys were also hired AFTER the Panthers had already drafted Bryce.  Trying to prop him up with a made up stat while he struggled would be a detriment to their own team honestly.
