Greg Hardy shows elite speed...

Well that's true. But how often do we hear about guys that should have been 1st rounders and they end up going in the 6th-7th. All the time. We seem to be able to get some steals though. I hope he works out.

Hardly ever do you hear about a guy falling from 1st overall contention all the way down to the 6th or 7th round. If you can think of any in our history or even league history, I would love to hear them. It just rarely happens.

True.But there is a difference..IMO

When you hear about the guys your talking about its usually about guys that have all "the tools" but have never proven it on the field.A perfect example of this is David Gettis.Has all the tools to be a first round guy with his height and speed but has never put it all together on the field.Hardy on the other hand has.Its just the injuries are a huge concern.

hardy will be a good player for you guys but he won't be like peppers. you don't go from being the 3rd best DL on your team to being an all-pro talent.

Well he went from being a top 5 pick and the best DL on his team to the 6th round a year later. Everything can happen..

those guys will probably be 1st-2nd round picks and any OM fan will tell you they were better than hardy last year.

hardy would have been as well if he had came out earlier. not to mention after those injuries his production slipped big time. i watched some UM games and still thought he was the best de.with 40 being a close second.

Lets wait until he actually plays a down in the NFL before we decide to crown him or call him a bust. Right now he is a guy just trying to make the active roster just like 80 other guys. His biggest advantage over some other guys at this point is that we drafted him and we rarely get rid of a draft pick in his first year. There are really very few rookies on the defensive or offensive lines who actually make much of an impact their first year.

This guy has a huge upside if he can stay healthy.I watched some film and he reminds me of Peppers. With 4.79 speed he may be our DE of the future. My only concern is duribility though his injuries to his wrist and foot could have been just bad luck.I would think after being considered a 1st rd pick a couple of years ago he would have a lot to prove.

I agree on the DE of the Future part, I think he will be the Thomas Davis of the DE position if he is injured often. minor or major injury.

As or right now, he hasn't even proven he can make team.

After that, he'll have to earn some playing time.

After that, hekd have to prove productive in the nfl.

Peppers was a sack machine playing on ability alone hois rookie season.

Pretty laughable stuff in this thread.
