Darin Gnatt thinks Kenny Moore will replace Smitty at the start of camp

Moore still didn't threw enough to him at that time. He gave Rosario a TD against the Tampa Bay, you know? :P

Sorry, but I don't think Jarrett will last here. You can play the lame "blame games on Jake" all you want, but he isn't the reason for Jarrett not making a lot of play.

Some sore vaginas on this thread.

I don't think anyone here hates Dwayne Jarrett, I think some people will argue he has sucked for us and they have plenty of ways to back this arguement up.

It was hard to evaluate any of our recievers last year except Smitty who as always is an absolute beast. Rosario didn't look bad either.

Whatever the reasons, Jarrett's NFL carreer up to this point has been a dissapointment, I'm sure Jarrett would agree here. Whether it be an injured Jake in 2009, and 2007,a lack of effort, poor route running, difficulting breaking CB jams and getting off the line, whatever...I think the team realizes this and their going to give Jarrett some more time. I think all the fans and the team would be overjoyed if Jarret became the next Lynn Swann, but realisticly we will be ok if he becomes a solid possesion receiver who plays hard for his team.

This being said he better show his experience and prowess fast, because as a fan I am very excited about what Gettis, Lafelle, and Edwards can offer to this team; and I don't rule out Kenny Moore either.

As some would say, may the best men win.

I can see Jarrett and Moore as the 1's going into camp simply to motivate the younger guys.

Not sure what to think of Moore, still holding out hope for Jarrett... there's much more to playing WR than speed. Jerry Rice ran a 4.7 40 and turned out to be pretty darn good.

unfortunately the only rice like quality Jarrett has displayed is hands. Everything else would be around Keary Colbert on valium.

thats an unfair question, carr made the whole team look bad and barely completed poo to anybody besides king, vinnie I dont think even threw a pass to him, and since moore has been playing he spreads the ball around and finds jarrett more then anybody else has

If I remember correctly I think Jarrett has played with Moore 5 times and 100% of his production came from that Saints game where they rested their starters.

Besides, there are tons of guys each year who come into the league and blow away Jarrett's accomplishments with shitty QB's. He doesn't have any excuses, blaming the coaches or players for his failures is a weak defense.

When you're looking at this, you have to keep in mind that the wide receiver positions aren't all the same. In the starting spots, there's an "X" receiver and a "Y", and the skill sets are not the same.

With Smith out, they need the next best guy that's closest to his type of receiver. Gantt think's that's Moore. Looking over the roster, he's probably right.

It all comes down to that...

WR1: Steve Smith - Kenny Moore - Armanti Edwards

WR2: Brandon Lafell - David Gettis

Take away K.Moore and ur left with a rookie WR who is just now learning to play WR in the NFL to backup Smith. Which i highly doubt that would happen this year.

Word. It always Jake this or that when it's come to Jarrett. Sure Jake has done a lot of mistakes like all players do in the NFL, but he isn't responsible for why Jarrett haven't gotten a lot of catches, TDs, etc. That's more on Jarrett himself. Why else he got arrested one time along with Smitty calling him out when the media interview him, etc.? It's not Jake's fault he didn't threw a lot to him, when he wasn't sure if he could trust him based on how Jarrett play. This is Jarrett's final year so if he make some improvement, they should offer him a one year contract to see if he could do even better.

What is everyones fascination with Kenny Moore? I get that he went to Wake Forest, but still...he has shown alot less that Jarrett during his career despite him being in the league longer.

False. Jarrett was a rookie in '07, Moore in '08. Moore played in 0 games in '08. Last year was essentially his rookie year.

I like how theres some silly people left still trying to defend Jake. If you don't think Delhomme as the main reason the passing game has sucked atleast the last three years, I won't call u names. I'll just say your as wrong as three left feet. If you feel hate is a strong word thats your personal opinion, But that also means you haven't been reading what your fellow posters have said.

Someone earlier said Jake made Culbert look good. That might have been the funniest thing i've seen all day. ya'll complain and complain about how slow Jarrett is. But I pointed to Muhammed and another poster pointed the finger at Rice. There are plenty of fast people in the league, and half can't hang on to the ball after getting hit. Kenny Moore? Ya'll can't be serious

So many things wrong with this statement.

I don't see how it's Delhome's fault that the passing game was bad in 2007, he only played for 2.5 games and he actually looked pretty good during those 2.5 games. You only said the last 3 years because you knew that's how long Jarrett has been here, you kind of forgot that Jake barely played that year. I guess Jake was magically making Jarrett suck from the bench.

It's entrely his fault for 08 and 09. He was actually much worse in 08 than people realize, the running game was just so good it didn't matter. The D also played very well the first half of the season which helped too. Even as bad as he played it's not his fault for induvidual players playing as poorly as Jarrett has.

Just because Jarrett might not be the fastest guy on field doesn't mean you can start drawing comparisons to the greatest WR of all time.

Whoever is saying Jarrett is bad because he's slow is just wrong. He's bad because he runs poor routes, gives up on the play, can't beat jams, doesn't use his large frame like he should, hasn't really worked all that hard until this year, and never plays physical. Running 4.2s couldn't fix those problems.

The coaches benched Jarrett for Kenny Moore, with Matt Moore at QB. I geuss that's Moore's fault for Jarrett's poor performance, again. In fact I think it's Kenny Moore's fault too for looking better in practice, that bastard.

Can you think of any WR that played poorly with Jake who went on to have great success elsewhere? Or one that was having great success who came here and then suddenly fell off the face of the earth? I cant.

Moose left, didn't do very well, came back while Jake was making the passing game look horrible(according to you), and he had a better year than he ever had with the bears.

Keyshawn Johnson came here and didn't just suddenly suck. Neither did Ricky Prohel. And those guys were dinosaurs by the time they got here.

It seems a very odd phenomenon is happening where players are responsible for themselves and they still can maintain their levels of play no matter who they have throwning them the ball. Mind blowing stuff right there.
