Anyone been to Albuquerque NM?

I might be going there for about a week for business. Is there anything you recommend seeing or doing while there?

Once. Eight years ago. Downtown is filled with Indian artifact shops that are real nice. There are also some casinos further down the interstate. Strip joints every other block.

Thanks. I was hoping there was a lot of scenic stuff around like mountains, rivers etc. Does it have pretty scenery?

Petroglyph National Park looks like its right next to Albequerque, if you're into that kind of stuff. Anyway, something that I'd check out if I had free time there...

The mountains are very close so scenery is nice. Not talking about the strip clubs either

Been there a couple times (1-2 day trips) IIRC Sante Fe is a bit nicer than Albuq....also Roswell (Area 51) is a bit of a drive but I thought that would have been cool to go see it.

Would it be worth an 1 1/2 trip to visit Santa Fe?

I've never had any real desire to go to NM but to be honest I really don't know what the place is like whatsoever.

Albq is Greensboro in the desert. Like scrum and panthro said, Santa Fe much better.

I wanted to go this year but not looking likely.

So the city doesn't seem so great. I guess I could go rafting or horseback riding near by. I'd rather do stuff outdoors anyways.
