Forward Dominic McGuire (formally of the Sacramento Kings and Washington Wizards) has signed a one-year deal with the Charlotte Bobcats.

Terms Undisclosed.

McGuire is not a scorer and is only here to back-up "G-Force", however he is a capable rebounder.

Hopefully Derrick Brown still see's some time next year.

This guy can't score to save his life, but he's a great defender and rebound-er, which fits Larry Brown's motto. My only concern going into this year is a lack of scoring. We couldn't get hot in the playoffs and I just think we need some people who can knock down shots.

With limited available moves and cap room, there's not a whole lot the team can do to add a scoring threat.

Has anyone thought maybe he is not here to stay? I was thinking he may be packaged and shipped to Indiana for T.J. Ford, or to Toronto for Jose Calderon, or to Los Angeles for Baron Davis or maybe even to Washington for Gilbert Arenas.

With the re-signing of TNT and the signing of Dominic McGuire we have a lot more options to explore. His contract is trade friendly and maybe he won't be in Charlotte for long.

It'll be awesome until Baron starts his whining, or getting his usual injuries, like he has on most teams he's played for. The Cats should stay away from Baron.

I will admit, Baron brought some good times when he was here the 1st time. I go back and look at his highlights from the earlier part of the decade. He had some good years in Charlotte.

      lol, it’s impossible to talk Carolina Panthers and it not simply all boil down and return to the singular biggest problem present day.  Bryce. (Tepper technically is but that can’t be changed) It’s no different when it became clear the primary problem was simply Matt Rhule.   People would do what you just did.  Boy, you sure do hate Matt Rhule!  We simply have reached a point where the biggest problem is so simplistic and obvious…not much matters until you deal with that.    It’s not hate.  It’s just standing against the insane gaslighting going on.  Bryce was a top 10 QB Sunday! 10 drops!

      Nothing indicates DC has HC talent. He has zero positive input on the D. It's year 2 and he chose to lean on a guy in year three that had a year 2 thst would keep many coaches from being a coordinator again. For an offensive guy he did squat at QB and now will have to ride his sad choices outside of the #1. Even his OC skills are basic which Im not sure he can hand off to someone else either because with his skills he is just a guy with a headset on the sidelines at that point. He is like a head cheerleader more than anything without his playcalling duties.
