In the past two years, Hunter Cantwell went from prospect to suspect to a guy with a firmer grip on an NFL job than most realize.

All it took was forgetting, then re-learning, how to throw a football.

Don't know how long he'll last at #2 but we'll see....

Not a chance, there hasn't been enough practice to unseat a guy who's been in the system this long, regardless of who was drafted. If the Panthers were to take the field today Cantwell is the FAR better option to lead the team. It would stay that way for long, but for right now there's a 1 and a 2, then a distant 3 and 4.

I'm telling you...Clausen as the #2 by week 1 is not as clear cut as a lot of fans seem to think. If Cantwell wouldn't have developed that hitch in his delivery, there is a very good chance that he would have been drafted, and he would have wowed a lot of scouts at the combine with his size and arm strength.

Think about it...JaMarcus Russell was drafted #1 overall, based almost exclusively on size and arm strength. The only other thing that guy had going for him, was that he was on a much better team that Cantwell ever had around him, so he got much more exposure.
