Tiger Woods getting hammered by British press

I have to say I'm with LP on this one... Tiger's a superstar and the best golfer in the world right now, but his on-course antics are way over the top. I've banged my fair share of clubs on the ground, even threw a few, but not in front of millions of people. I get it, he's emotional and that drives him, blah, blah... but I don't like it. I've heard other pro golfers curse, etc., but none to the levels that he does.

As far as the marriage/infidelity stuff... who cares, he's an adult, he made his choices, but I do think it's funny that he gets pissed when people ask questions...

he's been quite the little whiny biatch since this whole thing started.

He's always been a whiny bitch, IMO. When he hits a bad shot or is mad at the gallery he's always had the look on his face like he's about to start crying. Great golfer but a POS as a person I guess.

In all fairness...he was once the greatest golfer in the world, maybe even of all time. He was chasing history nearly every time he stepped onto the course. He is who he is. He gets angry when he doesn't perform up to his standards. That is just who Tiger is.

Yet millions of people still watch every single time he lifts a club. If you don't like it, don't watch Tiger. If you still want to watch, but don't want to hear, press mute. In every single other sport people get angry and curse and throw things and have temper tantrums. I know that golf is a "gentleman's sport" but to me it's good to see someone with some fire out there.

But this is all coming from someone with a serious love/hate relationship with golf. I have thrown many a tantrum on the course before.:D

Im sure hes the only one that has temper tantrums

I've been to my share of pro golf tourneys and watched many a hour of golf on TV... he's by FAR the worst in the sport.

Oh there's plenty of other a-holes... Colin Montgomery and Rory Sabatini come to mind... Vijay is no saint either, but he's just arrogant, he keeps it cool out on the course.

The weird thing is it's hard for me to believe Tiger achieved the level of play he has with that temper/attitude... for most everyone else in the golfing world, they've had to learn to control that emotion and play even tempered to play well. I know from personal experience, as soon as I start letting bad shots get to me, I might as well quit right then and there.

It's all about channelling that anger. Again, see one Steve Smith. :P

i won't deny that, but i just don't think its a big deal. guys like Manning, Brady, Kobe, Jordan all got extremely pissed off during games and threw tantrums. the list goes on. im not trying to take up for Tiger bc i don't care enough ab him (or golf) to do so. I just that in sports this happens alot. hell i do it. its bad, poor sportsmanship, and probably rude, but it happens

    • Maybe a bit of a homer take but I can't give us a grade lower than A.   Freeling was arguably the best LT prospect in the draft.  His athletic ability is off the chart and at 6'7" that can move.  It was a no brainer pick.   Hunter's key word is Violence. Putting him next to Brown should scare an offensive coordinator. These two give Scourton and Phillips plenty of chances to get one on one opportunities. Brazzell, another tall receiver with sprinter speed.  Our WR room is filled with tall talented WR.  Brazzell is going to give us a WR that can take to roof off the defense.  Basically Jimmy Horn with size. W. Lee III has a nickname of the Blanket. (heard this on the Beleav podcast with J. Stewart)  What a great name.  A great value in the 5th round. Hecht A strong, fast and extremely smart center. Many had him listed as the best center in the draft.  He's most likely a starter sooner than later. Wheatley A good safety in round 5.  Someone who could see playing time.   Kuwatch  I love this pick.  At minimum he will be a key piece on special teams and with some good coaching he'll see some packages where he'll play.  His down piece is he doesn't stay up in the running game.  Good coaching will fix this.  He reminds me a bit of A.J. Klein.   All these picks were great value.  I believe everyone of them were graded higher than the pick we took them.   Dan Morgan is IMO doing a great job turning this team into a good team with great depth.
    • Moton is a class act.
    • Sure, that is possible. That’s what, an extra 55 yards a game on average and 7 more TDs? What if he’s just 15th?  I imagine they would extend him in that situation due to the belief that he’ll keep trending up. maybe a 3 year contract to prove he can be top 10? Sounds like a Tepper plan.
