no need to apologize. I love sports, I love football, I live in charlotte, I am from miami.....I moved here 2 years ago. I have no hate for the panthers (we rarely play) I signed up here before last season cause I knew the phins were playing the panthers, I kinda like it here.....and saltmans avatars....so I stick around.

Why does a Panthers fan on a Panthers forum have less posts than a Dolphins fan?

I agree you can't go by what teams did last year in order to tentatively predict our season for this year. Some teams that did well last season may just not play well for one reason or another. Or, they may get hit by the injury bug like we did a few years back. Others who sucked last year may catch fire and be dominant this time around. You never know with FA and players moving around from year to year in search of the almighty dollar. Teams lose their continuity sometimes with roster turnovers.

I would love to see us go 10-6, 11-5, or even better, but with all the veterans we lost (not knocking any of the new people), I don't really know HOW good we will be. At the moment, I am thinking no worse than 8-8, but hopefully much better.

Many of the games we lost last season were due to horrible play from Jake Delhomme. No sane person would dispute that fact. At times Jake would simply toss the ball up in the air at random and hope for the best. It was a waking nightmare to watch him play. For our team to manage an 8-8 record with the cancer that was Jake, speaks volumes about the other areas of our team. Jake has some sort of finger injury, and Matt Moore starts.

New England Patriots L 20–10: Moore has a terrible first half, missing wide open recievers badly - we're still compititive.

Minnesota Vikings W 26–7: Moore plays well, and we totally destroy the playoff bound Vikings.

New York Giants W 41–9: Moore plays well, and look at the score.

Minus Jake, we had no trouble stopping the run with average joe Damione Lewis (brought here as a situational pass rusher) and 36 year old Hollis Thomas thrown into our system after injuries.

Our passing game had no trouble (barring Moore's brain fart in the Pats game) with Smith and way over the hill, super slow, Moose. We're upgrading Moose with Lafell, a polished and talented WR, so I'm not worried.

I'm not trying to say we're going 12-4, but I think there is a good chance that we may have a winning season.

It's possible. Remember your argument about the Dolphins going from 1-15 to 11-5?

Our schedule should be easier this year. I believe we're going to see a big difference just with competent quarterback play. The defensive line is a question mark, but I feel like our linebackers and secondary are very good.

I see us going 10-6.
