Feel a BlowOut Coming

The issue is that many... most notably Matt Moore supporters... want to have it both ways.

It was apparently super meaningful that Matt looked so great in camp... until of course he didn't. Now all of the sudden it doesn't mean anything as it's only a scrimmage.

If people had dismissed camp as camp and like Fox said nothing really matters except how you play on the field, these types of threads wouldn't exist. But instead, many people here dismiss what actually happened during the first live scrimmage and want to focus back on practice and feel-good stuff.

Just sayin'...

I put the totallity of camp as relevant....just not ONE practice.

If he had looked bad for the past 10 days, and then good yesterday....my thoughts would be the same.

You know I'm done listening to the people giving Moore a hard time...there is a reason why he didn't overtake Jake until the "finger injury" and why mccown was ahead of him on the bench. Matt moore is not s practice player. There I said it...move on until he proves otherwise on the field when it matters. He'll he didn't even look that great in preseason last year...but he still threw 8 TDs and won 4 of the last five games when it mattered. So who cares that he didn't play well during a scrimmage? Really, who cares? Now if he starts playing that way during the season then we'll have issues but until then just be excited like the rest of us and relax.

considering every report coming from fan fest said the team looked exhausted i wouldn't read into the scrimmage much. Its hot every year down in spartenburg, but this year has been especially bad with heat (excuse the one day of clouds/sprinkles). great first post there pessimistic patty..clap clap ..clap.

i've been to past fanfest but never to a training camp. From what i've heard from training camp and what i've experienced at fanfest, it seems like they buckle down more in spartanburg than at fanfest. I mean was the dc raising hell down there yesterday like i hear he does in camp? It seems like the d and o have had good strides of success in camp then the o doesn't play to great at fanfest and everyone thinks the sky is falling.

Fan Fest is crap. I've been to camp many, many, times and never to fan fest, but I always hear the same things. People who go to Fan Fest and not to camp base everything they see on a few plays in a relaxed atmosphere. If they play well at Fan Fest, it's going to be a good season!!! However, if they play like arse, the season is doomed.

I would personally be more disturbed if they play like that in Sparkle City on a daily basis.

I was at Fanfest, 15 Years in a Row now.and I can saw I left feeling completely concerned for our season...we'll see. Maybe an ass whopping will get the energy and effort level up, which seem to be non-existent except on 2nd string defense. Think Matt's feeling pressure now unlike before, and he will have to adjust not to let it bother him. His passes yesterday did not have enough velocity and a couple of side arms which shoulda been picked. So I thinking we loose big time to Baltimore...and then we see what happens next.

How did you feel in 2001?

Oh come the f**k on. Everyone here knows there would be crap running down the collective leg of this forum if the defense would have gotten torched, especially considering all the talk about the front four pretty much from the moment the season ended.

Truth.

Maybe, just maybe, the Panthers defense will be pretty good in 2010.

That is the truth. We will have a better gauge on Thursday watching if they come out vanilla or are as aggressive as they were on Saturday. We know Baltimore will be coming in here blitzing at every chance. The offense will get a huge test.
