I hope Fox and Hurney watched Hard Knox tonight

Not trying to take side here but realistically Bod has a point! The panthers, as an organization, has underachieved far more than they have overachieved! With the talent the team has had in the past...Think about it! That comes from the Top down. Thats just my opinion thought and we all know what opinions are worth :D

Of course they have underachieved. We have dwelved in mediocrity for the longest. As much as people don't want to admit this, it is definitely Fox and Hurney's fault for that.

Very true. The problem with that is Moore has never looked good in preseason and that apparently doesn't matter when the regular season rolls around and he will still be the stater. Seems to me that the preseason may mean more to Clausen and Cantwell than it will to Moore this year.

Hopefully he plays well and that is the end of it, but thimgs are rarely that easy around here..

Moore is getting more reps this camp than the past years also. And coming out with the starters doesn't hurt either. I expect with the added playing time he should look sharper and more accurate than the past preseasons, of course he'll only play a series or two. Hopefully he atleast manages them well seeing there isn't really any scheming going on.

It's freakin hard for most young back up QB's to look good in the pre season though, because they're playing with other young back up players who make a lot of mistakes. That's why I've always believed that the top 3 QB's on the roster should get at least one or two series with the one's during the preseason.

Further than Fox went his first year. Try again....

The Jets were given two wins to get to 9-7 at the end of last year, but you weren't paying attention to that part. You watch one little episode of Hard Knox and want to gag on the fat mans dick. As far as football is concerned, you know very little. You just started watching it because you play fantasy football.

actually that isn't true. Overall, Carolina has been probably more on the medicore side than anything else......and it is VERY profitable.

I was going to address that in my post, but I was hoping people would catch on. You are more profitable as champions than you are when you are mediocre. So, even though they are making bank right now, just imagine how much more they would make if they won they became a well-known championship franchise.

Put some thought into it, gents.

Anyone think of his idea to handle Revis by stopping practice and getting EVERYONE in the Jets organization together to solve his contract issues is also a great coaching idea? The more he speaks, the dumber he is, trust me, I live in NYC and see his poo every day.

Is he going to get a contract? Revis? I don't keep up with the other teams much.

Ryan has made the Revis situation way harder than it needs to be. The second Ryan said he is the greatest defensive player I have ever worked with and the best cornerback in the league statements you know a contract dispute was coming. You know Revis agents are using Ryan quotes against the front office in anyway they can. Now Revis is going to hold on till he gets the top corner back in the league money. He has 3 years left on his deal and I think if everything was handled behind the scenes it could have been worked out.

At the OP, comparing Ryan to Fox right now is premature at best. Do you realize how many stars aligned for the Jets to make it last year? I just think people here don't realize how so many things have to fall in your favor to just make the playoffs not to mention the SB. Just because someone is on TV yelling and screaming giving inspirational quotes doesn't make them a better coach than someone who doesn't. Hell if you just went off that, Herm Edwards would be the best coach in the league.

Fox doesn't give good sound bites to the media...big deal. I'm willing to bet he has no trouble getting his point across in the locker room. He has, at times, been too conservative with play calling imo but he is still a damn fine coach. The Panthers would (will) realize that when he is no longer in Carolina.

You know damn well Rex Ryan would be the best HC in panther history if he was here.

"I haven't laughed that hard since I was a little girl. Thank you."

i have to agree with bobby. The panthers are the most pussified team in the league and that is because of the lameduck coach and owner. Richardson is to blame also for enforcing the family friendly environment, we are known for having the biggest bunch of pussys in the stands.

Stop rooting for the team if you're going to put down Richardson because he doesn't give some of you crybabies what you want along with the team. And nothing wrong with family friendly environment. It help the business make more money, but then you don't know poo about the business with complaing about the family friendly environment.

And the biggest bunch of pussies in the stand? I dare you to say it to their face since you're not a damn football player & must be a pussy instead, I Am Not God. Come on, I triple dog dare you!! I thought so.

    • The bottom line is we saw long stretches this season where T-Mac wasn't even targeted.  He had games where he went an entire half without seeing a pass thrown his way, and it lead to a bunch of games with 5 or less targets.  If he's healthy and we're not up a stupid amount and only running the ball, I can't see him having more than a game or two next year with 5 or less targets. We were also only 22nd this year in pass attempts, and that was with a rookie #1 and no legitimate 2nd option for half the season.  And even then, we were only 46 pass attempts above 31st place. If we go into next season with T-Mac improved in his 2nd season and a healthy Coker for 17 games, there is absolutely no reason for us to not throw it more.  That right away increases both of their target totals without sacrificing any targets from each other or other players, add in them taking targets from the TEs and RBs on top of that, and your argument just doesn't hold water anymore. You can't look at targets/yards in a vacuum and think next year Coker just takes some from T-Mac.  You have to look at the team as a whole and our situations this year and then project what will happen next year. If he's healthy for 17 games, I'd bet my life savings that T-Mac sees increases across the board, targets/catches/yards/TDs.   Just as Coker will also see career highs in all categories, it's not one vs the other, it's shifting offensive strategy given our personnel, which next year will be much better for our passing game (QB issues aside).
    • C'mon now.... First, you can't switch up your argument once someone points out a major flaw in your point. You're saying we shouldn't expect a big increase in targets/yards for T-Mac, but then shift to talking about averages with Chase when I point out the significant leap he took there once you factor in his missing games.  He saw an increase in targets in 5 less games, averages aside, he saw a significant increase in targets in his 2nd season, what he then did with those targets is actually irrelevant in this discussion. Puka seeing no increase is pointless, as he saw such an absurd amount of targets for a rookie, it's near impossible to see an increase. But the real issue in this post is that you think I'm proving your point by showing how Waddle had to share targets with Hill. Tyreek Hill was a 1st team All Pro who was 2nd in the NFL in yards that season. If you think Jaylen Waddle sharing targets with a 1st team All Pro and a future HOFer is even remotely in the same category as T-Mac needing to share targets with Coker... then you are certifiably insane, lol. If anything, you could make the argument that Coker is to Waddle as T-Mac is to Hill in that discussion (which would then lead to a serious increase in targets/yards for T-Mac).  But even that is insane, as neither T-Mac or Coker will be as good as Hill and Waddle respectively that season.  I love both of their potential, but c'mon now, T-Mac isn't getting 119 catches for 1,700 yards and Coker isn't getting 117 for 1,350 next season.
