me talking about peppers has nothing to do with me wanting to funnel his jizz. interesting theory by you but no not the reason why. it is a topic that gets me heated because i think it proves the lack of knowledge our fan base has, and the fair weather fans that "pack" the stadiums every sunday.

the criticism on here about julius peppers is unwarranted and moronic. all you need to do is read quotes by jon beason and john fox who have both brought up julius peppers out of the blue this training camp. speaks volumes about a player who never played hard and took plays off.

If it were to get out of hand, then yeah, I'd say they need to be separated.

But, those two just made their first appearance in new uni's after long tenures here.

So, considering I only saw one thread for each of them...I think it would've been fine to leave them in the Panthers forum.

For me its just real embarrassing to have a panthers forum that the most active threads are ones about players who have no relevance to the Panthers anymore. Makes our fan base look like idiots.

If the members aren't bright enough to post such threads in the NFL Football Central to begin with, just have a Mod move them there.

You know, freedom of speech and all.

That being said it's common law that all threads are A OK in the Panther's forum during the off season cause things are slow. Set a date when non-Panther blabber aint tolerated.

The local CBS affiliate here WBTV has a locally produced 30 minute sports show Sundays from 11:30-12 every week. And they showed highlights from the Cleveland preseason game and talked about Jake's performance on the show with a minute of commentary.

I would say it's not out of the realm to expect to see this thread here.

I got nothing on or against you... I wouldn't mind seeing the old "Look what Willie Parker did today, or Joey Porter new sideline fight"

Some people just don't like that for several reasons, some may include they hated the player, or hated seeing him leave and don't want to see them in a jersey.

But a lot of these topics are in the wrong sub forum anyway lol

I've decided that if you are going to run a Panthers board that you have to speak correct english, it's y'all, not you all, damn boy where you from

On a related note, can we auto-ban posters who can't distinguish between the words dominant and dominate? One's a fuging adjective and the other a verb... one of my pet peeves, and when a lot of our posters misuse these two, we sound like a bunch undereducated cretins. :banghead:

Sorry, but you were speaking of image and embarrassment Zod, so I wanted to interject this point.

This thread is amusing.

Just move the threads to the correct forum. If someone gets their feelings hurt over it being moved, maybe they need to put on their big boy pants and get over it. After the third move, just ban them. Weed out the idiots.

    • To kick this up, The Athletic has a really comprehensive piece out where pretty much all QB questions are addressed. It is worth seeing.  https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7083539/2026/03/04/starting-quarterback-projections-free-agency-draft/?source=user_shared_article I’m putting something specific here but it should have a thread or something. It is an extensive exercise.  This is a dense write up with a lot of column inches used, about the Jets and Murray and Reich, all this stuff.. then it goes to backup QB and there is Dalton.  I am pasting that part: As for Dalton, Reich is installing the offense he was trying to run in Carolina in 2023 before he got fired, and Dalton was with the Panthers then; he’s an ideal option as a veteran backup to replace Taylor. Reich said this about Dalton in 2023: “The way he's throwing the football, the way he works through progressions, the way he handles the operation. … Since day one (when) he walked in the door, I'm like, 'This guy is starter-worthy.' You guys know I've said that all along. He's, in my opinion, one of the best 32 quarterbacks in the world.” ——— That’s true love lol. I never heard any of this. Pretty crazy I think, considering how the year went.   Anyway the dream is not dead. .
    • The Seahawks traded for wide receiver/returner Rashid Shaheed at the trade deadline. He proved to be a key acquisition. Shaheed returned a punt and a kickoff for touchdowns in the regular season and had a 95-yard kickoff return in the postseason. Shaheed, though, is scheduled for free agency. So, the 12 games he played, including the postseason, might be the extent of his time in Seattle. Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Shaheed and the Seahawks are not close to an extension, and the expectation is that the two-time Pro Bowler will hit free agency. Shaheed has 153 receptions for 2,243 yards and 12 touchdowns in his four-year career to go along with three punt return touchdowns and a kickoff return touchdown. He ranks 13th on PFT’s top-100 free agents. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/report-rashid-shaheed-appears-headed-to-free-agency
