considering some of the super scrubs turned out to be pretty good starters down the road. Doesn't that mean we should keep Moore?

Exactly, and look what we had at DT after we let them go at various times for depth... yuck.

I don't see why he wouldn't make it, he looked dominant out there. Only thing might be the staff would rather stick with Hilee b/c he's younger, but I've got to think they believe he's hit his ceiling in our system by now.

Pretty good starter down the road? Like when he's 32 years old and almost out of the league? I will pass.

Brown and Haye are both under 30. They were better than most of the shitty depth we've had for two years.

Brown showed huge improvement after we let him go and he was a quality starter in his 3rd year.

We've never had a problem finding late round D-line help. We need to keep some of these guys. I'm pleased with how the guys played the 1st pre-season game but most of them are on 1 year contracts. We need some longevity at the position.

We have 4 DE's right now, and Norwood is being considered a LB. I think we should keep 5 DTs this year to keep the run D stout.

That's why I made the comparison to Al Wallace b/c we didn't find him until his late 20s or right at 30 and he was pretty effective every year he was here. I think he would've been a starter if he had played elsewhere the years he was with us. But, when we let him walk he quietly disappeared out of the league again.

Moore could be of that same mold IMO...

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
