Long shot Panthers RB Vaughan trying to run past odds

I like what I've seen of Vaughan, but there's no way he makes our roster. Maybe the practice squad, but I doubt it.
Probably true and he will get picked up by someone else. I am going to stay off the Vaughan bandwagon as it is bad luck for him. I was on the Jason Carter and Taye Biddle Bandwagons and look what happened to them:eek:.

(By Scott Fowler, [email protected]) The Carolina Panthers' leading rusher so far this preseason spent most of last fall tutoring middle-schoolers and driving elderly people to their doctor appointments.p/Such is the flighty nature of the NFL exhibition season.

If we don't,or can't stash him on the practice squad, another team may decide to pick him up.

I am on record here as having had personal reasons at SC for tauting him, but then game #1 came. He was no blazing crazy horse, but he held onto the ball, picked up some 1st D's, expressed a strong desire to be here and was never slammed by the TB'ers.

I believe the idea we'll not keep 5 RB's, but we ain't killing anyone by putting him on PS! He's got a wonderful family, and if you could just meet him..you'd know...he WAS a player well spoken of in Bleacher Report and in a conversation on xm I heard someone state he was a positive aspect of our offense.

    • Nice explanation, but I was just messing with you. Thought that would be obvious. I dont have the energy to keep on trolling. Last season I compared our situation with Bryce as a potential Alex Smith, but what we should be looking for is our version of Mahomes. Some people will read that as one sentence, to me that single sentence is equivalent to a half A4 explanationf of the teams pathway forward.
    • I dont know how much of his salary would come across and how much a trade would cost but I feel Kmet would be the sort of TE Canales and Morgan would like
    • I honestly question play calling a lot more towards the end of last season than Bryce’s play. I’m not sold on Canales as an offensive mind, I haven’t seen the advantage he gives on that side of the ball. Maybe that changes with the new coordinator so that will be something to look for. Either way I’m not falling for the same hook line sinker again this offseason. I hope we don’t settle for a qb just because of some weird attachment issues we seem to have as an organization to Bryce. I’d rather start the search for a qb again, now with a much more stable team and front office, then getting hooked for multiple years with a qb that under performs and is overpaid
