The Jaguars shot themselves in the paw when they kept David Gerrard and didn't draft The Golden Calf of Bristol.

Perhaps, perhaps not. It all depends on how the ownership views the solution. Football fans are fickle, if they were to draft The Golden Calf of Bristol and he bombs, what then. It might have bolstered ticket sales for the first year and a half, and thats only if The Golden Calf of Bristol was named starter from day one. If they team continued to wallow in the cellar of the AFC, well then, it would be back to the norm for revenue.

I believe the owners are attempting to value overall future success more than short term revenue as the savior of the franchise if it is going to have a future in northern Florida. They probably feel that Gerrard gives them the better shot at this.

I agree 100%. I honestly don't think The Golden Calf of Bristol will ever be a top notch NFL QB, but he would fill the stands and potentially save the franchise in Jax.

Pittsburgh really surprises me. I can't believe they are only middle of the pack.
