Davidson's First Playoff Game as Offensive Coordinator

Just want to make one observation. No doubt the offensive scheme was poor Saturday. But I did want to note that it was Davidson's first playoff game as a coordinator. History shows me that you learn much more from your failures than you do your successes.

It may be small consolation but I expect he learned a lot from Saturday and at least we aren't likely to lose him to another team for a few years.

I know I said it was small consolation already!!!:D

I feel this was part of the problem. Also I feel that Fox need to let the man do his Job. I dont think he pushed Henning around as much as he dose Davidson.
I doubt he pushes Davidson around. He seems too big for that. But I expect that as Davidson grows into the role he will spread his wings more and take more on. I thought he did a great job in the last half of the season until Saturday. I felt our lack of defense did as much as their defense did in limiting what the offense could do.

I don't get why people think Fox completely controls Davidson. People see Davidson as a conservative play caller, just like Henning, and assume Fox has a stranglehold on him. There's nothing really to compare as this is Davidson's first OC job, minus the short time with the Browns.

    • D Carr must have really disliked the saints to wait and do this announcement after the draft has passed if he made this call a few weeks before the draft sure they would have approached it and the offseason differently.  oh well will be interesting to see how their qbs perform.  would love to see them roll with Thill and just make the whole offense towards his skillset.  Although sadly would be only playing in about half the games with how often he gets injured.
    • I have to say it's quite fascinating seeing you pivot from months and months of wailing and agonizing about threads derailing into Bryce Young slingfests only for you to turn around and do the same thing. And just for the record. Nobody in life ever attained wisdom and clarity from mistakes by having people blindly fawn over them and tell them they are above reproach and incapable of making mistakes. Our front office is just as human as we are. And based on the fact that front offices across the league outside of a handful of teams change on a fairly regular basis it's safe to say they are certainly no more infallible than the average Joe even though they possess significantly more knowledge usually. If you want a utopia where all you do is shine shoes for anyone associated with the Panthers you go right on ahead and create yourself a new community sir. More power to you.
    • I trust Morgan when it comes to LBs so I think Wallace will do well.
