Tim Lewis is interested in the GB Defensive coordinator position and may be interviewing for it, he was interviewed in 06 for the Head coach position in GB but lost out to McCarthy. he also has ties to GB as that is where he played his brief nfl career.

A couple of links to the information

Link Link

or another possibility is to let him become the DC here and get rid of trgovac.

Fox and Trgovac in a conversation:

JF: Hey Mike!

MT: Huh?

JF: So Tim Lewis might be going to Green Bay.

MT: Uh, ok.

JF: I've decided to make you Defensive coordinator\Secondary coach\Asst. head coach. Can you handle that?

MT: Um, yup.

JF: Great! got any questions?

MT: Uh, yeah. What's the secondary???

The article indicates Lewis is itching to be a coordinator again.

If he doesn't get the Packer job, and the job comes open here...

I know that's the route they would go, but they shouldn't.

He had some terrible defenses in New York in his years there. Oh, and just look at this wiki I pulled up of him...

Despite his aggressive defensive schemes during his time in Pittsburgh, Lewis reverted to soft defense in his last two years in Pittsburgh and while in New York. Sam Madison, best known for his play as a man to man coverage cornerback, has been dropped back into zone on defense. Another player in the New York Giants defensive unit, Lavar Arrington, has also been dropped back into zone coverage time and time again, despite the fact that his three Pro Bowl seasons in Washington came while Arrington was being sent in on blitzes. Lewis' soft defensive schemes, including a diminished use of blitzing, led to unpopularity among several New York Giants faithful. This is despite his being considered a head coaching candidate by other teams before the 2006 season.[1] The New York Giants defense in 2006 finished 25th overall, 28th against the pass and 14th against the run, as the team barely made the playoffs at 8-8. He was fired on January 11, 2007.

He'd just be another turdovac.

Maybe if we start a "Herm" chant? Or how about a "bump till we hire Edwards (or McDermott...or McGinnis)" thread? There's that :)

(or maybe we should just sit here and brace for disappointment) :(

I'd say unfortunately we should just sit here and brace for disappointment....but that doesn't mean we can't hope for the best.

    • there is one common denominator in the 2003 & 2015 Carolina Panthers teams they both had ELITE top tier Qb play.  it would require a MVP type of season from Bryce Young to have the same type of success that Jake Delhomme had in  2003 & or Cam Newton in 2015 & lead this team to a SuperBowl is this going to happen or is there any reason to believe Bryce Young is capable of playing similar to Jake Delhomme in 2003 or Cam Newton in 2015 ? well no there is no absolutely NO reason whatsoever to believe that this is going to happen in 2026 ..just saying
    • I'd actually like to see Cherelus get a fair shot to win the job in camp. Wallace is decent in drop zone coverage, but he gets abused in the play action game and is often times out of position in the run game. It might just be me, but I swear every time I watch Wallace play, I see multiple plays a game were it looks like he's just trying to be blocked. Watching Cherelus last year he at least looked like he was trying to hit someone on every play. Wallace plays like a LB who doesn't trust what he sees and it makes him passive and cautious versus Cherelus who regardless of if his decision is right or wrong goes at it 100%.
    • Agreed.  Hasn’t happened to me either, but I feel very strongly about it.  That’s not just one of the worst things a woman could do to a man, it’s a power inherent to only women and is one of the worst things a HUMAN being can do to another.  A man can’t “hide” a pregnancy or maternity.  It’s impossible.  And that sucks for anyone that has to go through that. I always got a weird vibe off her and just found her very unlikeable.  Annoying even.  I’ve always been good at reading people and there was just something about her to me that was off-putting, somewhere under the surface.  And here we are…  she is despicable.
