Game Grades

Nobody gets an A in a loss

Special Teams B+ - No major mistakes and a great punt block. Averaging close to 30 on kickoffs and 20 on punts. Way better than the Giants

Steve Smith B - caught all but one pass thrown to him and ended with 5/75 1TD. Made Matt Moore look good

D Line C+ - Good energy and pressure at times. Yet only 1 sack. and not that many rushes. I 'm not sure how much they should be given credit for the 3 INTS by Eli.

Other wide receivers C Didn't help Moore at times. DJ looked like he ran a couple of good routes. A few balls where the QB and WRs were just not hooikng up. TEs were not a factor

O Line C- - Didn't see many false starts but the protection was not great. Matt Moore was totally beaten up in the 2nd half.

Matt Moore D terrible line 14/33 1TD 3 INTS. Looked like Jake at his worst. Could have had more INTS with some very tentative passes. And he missed some obvious reads. Occasionally when he had time he threw some nice balls but they were far and few...

Coaching D+ 24 rushes total and the run game was never established in the 2nd half. Deangelo is averaging 4 yards per run and you give it to him 16 times...probably twice in the 2nd half? We were winning at the Half!

Secondary D- Lots of miscommunication and at least two of the touchdown drives were completely to blame on the corners. Also some bad tackling at Godfrey (I think) totally blew a one-on-one open field that gave up a touchdown. 3 INTS were tips and kept us in it (I'm sure you will argue that they had to be in position to make the plays

How about an F F***ing minus!!! Only reason we even get a friggin grade is because the defense showed a little something at times and of course Smitty played with his usual intensity in the first half. At least we found out that Munnerlyn and Goodson can still return kicks fairly well.

Offensive line - F

Matt Moore - F+ (only gets the plus because of the TD to Smitty, and the drive in the 4th that ended in an INT)

Smitty - B

RBs - C-

Other receivers - B- (because of Jarrett's clutch 3rd down catches)

TEs - C-

Defensive line - C+, maybe B- at a stretch

LBers - B+

Secondary - D- (Although a lot to blame was the Capt matchup on Nicks, that was just stupid game planning)

Special teams - A- (Hardy & Goodson)

In my opinion, Moore gets one more game after that disaster. Anything close to that next week or the week after and bench his ass. That was very Delhomme-esque. RBs almost never had anywhere to go, the O-line was blocking terribly.

QB = D-

too many passes miss WR; poor decision making under pressure

RB = C-

hard to get many yards with so few holes

WR = C

hard to catch the ball when thrown to defenders secondary

OL = F

missed snap on punt; no pass protection; very few running holes

DL = C

good pressure at times; not enough when needed; stopped run in first half, gave up in second half

LB = C

see DL

DB = F

too many mistakes lead to being burned

ST = C+

good returns; kickoffs can't get to opponants 10 yard line

Coaching = F

run up the middle, repeat; no halftime adjustments (as usual)
