The season is over, the time has come to find a new defensive coordinator. Mike Trgovac defense is hard candy and loved by all NFL teams.

This is easy. If I were deciding by their play during the season, I go Lucas. If I were deciding by the play last Saturday's game, I go Jake.

Actually, I just gave this a bit more thought.

Many have placed our defense's shortcomings on the scheme, and to a degree that might explain Lucas' poor play to a degree. There is a chance that Lucas could benefit from playing in a more aggressive scheme.

While Lucas' play could improve with a change in coaching, I don't know that Jake's can. This year, the front office provided Jake with more weapons than he's ever had, but he couldn't get it done.

Makes you wonder how much better Lucas would play with a better pass rush and someone other than a rookie at safety.
