I Was Violated

I'm usually a pretty good law abiding citizen. I've only had one other ticket in my life & that was for expired license plate. It really kind of sucked because if I had been rolling any slower I would have stopped completely. The officer had been hiding behind a car wash issuing tickets to people all day long. I had just left from a 9 year olds birthday party that was at a skating rink, so my nerves were shot. I keep telling myself that maybe I avoided some sort of horrible event by being stopped for 20 minutes with that cop.

I believe it's 3 "insurance" points

at least that's what my wife got when she ran a stop sign a few years ago.

so yeah, you'd def save some $$ with a lawyer

3 points on license, 1 insurance point = 25% increase for 3 years

Attorney fee= $150 plus any court fees if there are any, no court fee if it's dismissed.

If its your first moving violation, you should be able to go to a class (its like $50) and after that, no points to insurance or license. I've been inside enough courthouses over the past 1-2 years. I've seen it. Or prayer for judgement (unless you have used it the past 3 years). Just talk to the DA when you get up there. If you can't figure it out, get a continuance.

Plead "Improper Equipment"

Did that in a random Eastern NC county I got caught speeding and passing in a no passing zone when I was 18. It is now off my record entirely.

Buddy of mine did that. Got caught going 20 over the speed limit and said his speedometer was broke. It wasn't, but it sounded good.

For rolling through a stop sign in Fayettenam.

I need attorney suggestions from you Fayetteville folks.

That is all.

If you let the cop violate you the least he could have done is not give you a ticket.

Just sayin'.

In NC you don't have the option of "Traffic School" to not have a ticket go on your record? Here in Cali you can do that and it doesn't show on your history.
