Fox Says: Moore Still the Starter

Moore should be held out if he has a concussion.

Need I remind anyone of this guy?

Jimmy can fill in nicely. Don't rush someone back because your scared of a QB controvery, Moore obsessors.

Not worried about a QB controversy worried about screwing Clausen up the longterm. I would rather lose 6 games with Moore instead of winning 3 with Clausen and him losing his confidence at such a early stage of his career.

Clausen will be given a lot longer leash than Moore is given. Clausen is the guy that the FO used their first draft pick on. That, and after seeing teams stand firm by rookies such as Sanchez and Freeman, rookie Qbs may start getting a free pass to play horrible (If that is how they play) their rookie year.

I wish Moore the best and hope he can turn it around though. He's a good underdog story that I hope can find more success with us. If not us, then I hope he finds success with another team that will be patient with him as he gets more and more on the field experience and evolves.

EXACTLY!

One game does not a career make.

He made some bad decisions, but let him get to the film, and at least give him a chance to redeem himself.

No thanks, I'd rather not have to live through another embarrassment like we had to endure yesterday. Take it to heart people, it's no coincidence that Moore sucked balls in the preseason and he sucked balls yesterday. And I don't want to hear about his fragile ego or his "personal feelings", he's a broken QB in this league, and based on his play in the preseason and in Game 1, I'm sorry but I for one don't see him breaking back out of it.

He's 6-3 as a starter and based on his decision making ability yesterday pretty soon he'll be 6-6, then 6-9, then 6-12. What will all his Fanboyz say then?

Hearing some of the talk on here lately, I don't think some of you people got enough of Jake...

Um, what?

How is Clausen winning 3 games going to screw up his confience?

Are you saying that with Moore at the helm we're a 10 win team and a 3 win team with Clausen?

Hardly.

The drop off between the two is no where near that large.

Besides, Clausen already has Rip Scherer here to screw him up long term.

Heck, if Jimmy goes out there and does well next week, maybe Rip will leave him alone.

Well, Moore should get a few more starts. After that, we need to seriously decide (if he did bad) on Clausen. Moore's in what, his 4th year, and if he can't get it going, it may not be happening.

I'd like to see some things before we fully make a judgement:

1) Our Oline not sucking.

2) Able to run the ball like we should be able too.

3) Our defense not getting owned by the other team's WR's

4) Better playcalling, not happening though

A lot went wrong yesterday in the game, most people are blaming Moore, it's a team loss honestly.

People talking J.C. messing up his confidence by starting him now whats to say the same didn't happen to Moore after he looked like Jake 2.0 yesterday...Nothing to lose putting Clausen in there against the Buc's. If he he looks bad we go back to a rested Moore when he's ready and pray it was really just "one bad showing". And if he performs well we have some positives at that position. I'm not worried about Clausen losing his confidence after what he dealt with at N.D. for 3 years.

And that's a fair comparison, what with Jake being in a downward progression throughout the season and moore having 1 bad start.

Try again.

It turned into a downward progression throughout the season because fools kept giving him a "do over" week after week because he took us to the SB in '03 and the NFCCG in '05. ..Well, that and because Delhomme had an overall winning record.

Most are just afraid that Moore will take us down the same path that Delhomme did last season. I can't blame them for being antsy.

But that's exactly my point. Statistically speaking, one game does not indicate a trend. So why is everyone acting like Moore is a bad QB and ignoring all his quality starts in the past season?

They're acting that way because of what they had to endure last season with Delhomme. An entire season being ruined because of an inability to bench a qb is brutal.

Edit: If he can do good in either week 2 or 3, whenever he's cleared to play, all the negativity will be gone and most will be back on the Matt Moore bandwagon.
