Fellow Tampa fan with some questions

As a Tampa fan getting ready for next weeks game I have some questions about your team and will be taking questions about my team.

My opinion of the Panthers is that they have a potent one two punch and a Great WR in Steve Smith, I think yall have a very good mauling offensive line when healthy. But you guys have major question marks at QB

On the Defensive side of the ball when healthy are a very Solid B. Thomas Davis and Beason make up a very good linebacking core also I think your corners are very underated.

With that said I have several questions and I will adress any questions you have about my team or players.

Injures, it says on NFL.com on your depth chart that Otah and Davis are injured, what are the severity of those injures?

When I look at your front 4 I am very confused and only know about Everette Brown as a good speed rusher, Do those guys on the front 4 have any talent, or are just a stop-gap for this year/project players?

Also how do you think your Cornerbacks are doing based on your performence last Sunday? It looks like Captain is having it very rough.

Anyways good luck on Sunday and can't wait to here your opinions.

Otah is week to week with a knee problem, Davis is out for at least half the season (and probably more) recovering from a 2nd torn ACL.

Everette Brown is a situational DE (pass rush) I'd say Tyler Brayton is our best defensive lineman at this point with Charles Johnson in a close 2nd and Greg Hardy rising fast. Our DT's are a bunch of nobodies, Ed Johnson and Louis Leonard have flashed some good stuff.

Our CB's had a rough time last Sunday but they are talented enough that I think they'll snap out of it. It's not an excuse but I think the playing surface was part of the problem. Our SS Godfrey made our CB's look bad on a couple of plays when he was supposed to provide help over the top and didn't show up.

Good stuff man, Ed Johnson and Lenoard must not have played horrible because you guys did fairly good against the run.

If your Bucs get into the red zone, then I'm certain they'll attack our CB Captain Munnerlyn with jump ball type passes. Munnerlyn has proven without a doubt that he can't win jump ball battles with big WRs.

The glory days of our d-line being a force to recon with are long gone. Expect mild pressure from our front 4, but nothing fierce.

Our secondary is actually better than they looked against the Giants imo. CB Captain Munnerlyn is actually excellent in coverage outside of the red zone. CBs Gamble and Marshall are 2 of the best zone CBs in the NFL imo, but without a dominate pass rush, they can only tackle the WR after the catch. Our safeties SS Godfrey, and FS Sherrod Martin are extermely fast and athletic, and speed wise they could match any other safeties in the NFL. The problem is that they don't know our defense that well, and they end up a few steps out of postion. A few steps are enough to get burned alive in the NFL. Our safeties will most likely finish the season a lot better than they will start the season.

Our run defense has some room for improvement, but for long stretches of the Giants game they were spectacular. Our LBs were making the right fits, and the d-line was fighting like wild dogs to contol their gaps. Later in the game, fatigue and mental errors crept into the run defense, and the Giants started to gash us.

Our rushing attack is having a major problem as of late. Our OTs are not run blocking well, and as a result we can't run our bread and butter run play. It's the play where our FB leads the way just to the right of our RT with Williams or Stewart following. This run play is murder when we have Otah at RT, but he's injured, and Gross is playing like crap coming off his injury.

You've seen our passing game, so no need to go into that. All in all I expect a dogfight between two bargain basement budget teams. Probably something like 21 - 24 either way.

Can we discuss the idea that Davis' career could be over? Especially if he fails to recover by say week 9? I think this idea is tragic, I love the guy...but in our usual cloak & dagger ideology, we don't ask and we don't tell!

I have asked about Tyler and assume there is some word on his soon-to-return status?
