Where will Peppers play in 2009?

Philly. They have the extra 1st round pick and the cap space and they will be considered a contender next season.

Washington could also be in the mix but I'm not sure if they are going to be willing to give up as much as other teams.

Other possibles would be Miami, Houston, Denver (though the coaching change may lower those chances), Green Bay and maybe Jacksonville.

My money would be on Philly though.

Philly is too prudent with their draft picks to give up a first. I wouldn't want it either being as it's in the late 20's. I wouldn't mind a trade with Houston though. A mid round 1st plus a 3rd and a 5th would seal the deal if you ask me.

Oh yeah, they never trade their 1st round picks...are you forgeting about last year's draft.

To be honest I would hate for Pep to end up in Philly. But even Panther fans cannot argue how great that Jim Johnson defense would be with Pep. If the shoe was on the other foot I would want to trade for Pep and place him in that style of defense.

yea and look what they got in return for that mid late first round pick. exactly they would probably want to give us our first rounder back and us give them like our 5th rounder.

I agree to that to an extent. It really all boils down to who makes the best offer though. I don't see them taking a 2nd round pick from Houston and passing on a 1st and 3rd from Philly just because we play Philly once next season.

Now trading him to a division rival is completely out of the question.

Yeah I would have to say Philly has the advantage with 2 first rounders but philly front office can be cheap at times.

I really don't think Houston will do it but we have the money under the cap but doubt if they want to give up a first rounder to seal the deal. How about Travis Johnson DT, Sage Rosenfel QB, CC Brown FS and and 2nd rounder?:D I think our new DC would be a good reason for Pep to look hard at houston.

      The difference is about how much player input is allowed and encouraged in the decision making process. Top down teams tend to dictate to players how everything is handled. Disagreements are handled by the coach and players are expected to do what they are told regardless of what they think or feel.  Players are perceived as commodities to be used until we find better. In player led teams player input is encouraged and valued. Players and especially leaders are expected to settle their own disagreements and be accountable to the team but mostly to each other. Players are family to be appreciated and supported in their growth. Is the reality of football the same in both? Yeah there are limited positions, football is a business and winning is the bottom line. Coaches get final say and run the program because that is their job. But in player led teams they feel valued, appreciated, part of a larger whole. Most people who have worked at multiple jobs know exactly what I am talking about. When players try to run the show and don't value  coach input that isn't a player led team, that is a circus which we surely are familiar with in our past.

      Seems to be the consensus from the talking heads. I really wish we had double dipped at center in the 2nd round. Sion will never play in the league.
