For Jimmy Clausen to do good his rookie season...

clausen seemed to do fine in that 1st drive sunday walking down to the redzone with the same people moore was using that day. Only thing i'd like to see them do is put edwards in there already since DJ isn't contributing anything.

Lets see what happens when it isn't junk time and the opponent is not in a prevent defense giving him all the short passes.

yeah no one with off field issues like vjax and b. edwards are ever going to wear a panthers uniform. plus those guys would cost a lot more $$ than richardson would give up and it goes against the youth movement so not happening. If the o line will block somebody then we can run effectively and take the pressure off Clausen and he will have success. and i agree, throw armanti into a few 3WR sets and see what he can do in the open field...if they're so against playing jarrett then dont activate him bottom line...

Not really sure if 14 minutes left on the clock and down by two touchdowns is considered junk time, but they didn't manage the clock very well either. But i will agree with the notion of seeing how he manages in a full game.

Yeah, if you aren't going to use Jarrett then just freaking deactivate him and lets go all in on the youth movement. Clausen, LaFell, Gettis, and Edwards. It doesn't sound pretty but I mean we may as well take it all the way because things clearly cannot get worse.

Don't forget Smitty...

There wasn't 14 minutes on the clock and yeah it was junk time. And I agree lets see how he plays when it matters and the pressure is on. We all see how Moore couldn't handle it.

He has the same weapons that Moore did plus everyone is essentially healthy. If he is the answer as many fans believe he can take what we have and make them work. Otherwise he is not the answer either.

Dude, do you read my mind? You and I think alike quite a bit. I couldn't agree more.

Ya'll can forget buying up anyone. It ain't happening unless we have a realistic shot at a playoff game and we either lost a player to injuries or are just sorely lacking in a particular area.

And Panthers55 is right. After benching Matt so quick, and considering the rest of the team was not playing very well, this same team firing on all cylinders and Jimmy should show a significant improvement over Matt and the mistake prone team of the past two weeks. Not saying all mistakes will be fixed, but a lot of them do get sorted out after a couple of games.

Otherwise, like Panthers55 said...He ain't what we are looking for.

PS: He should have Otah's help too, something Moore did not. Anyone know if he's been announced active for Sunday?

We need to give him weapons, right now the only reliable weapons he has in the passing game are Smith, Goodson, and Rosario you cant expect a rookie to come in and do great when receivers are running the wrong route and not getting separation off the line. That is why getting Vincent Jackson is not a bad idea for us. A third round pick is well worth this guy.

You cant say that getting VJ is a bad idea

 A guy with a 4 game suspension pending coming to the Panthers.........are you new?
